So 4m is an absolute minimum 1st week

What is the biggest selling exclusive release of 2012 before this? Hell, what are the top 3!?

There really hasn't been anything even close to something this size release exclusively for any console this year.

Top 5 Week 1 Launches 2012 (console exclusive)

1. One Piece Pirate Musou -664k (PS3)

2. Dragon Quest X- 384k (Wii)

3. Tales of Xillia 2- 353k (PS3)

4. Kinect Star Wars - 348k (360)

3. Resident Evil 6- 2.4m (multi)

How does this compare to the amount of money COD makes?

Well, COD has pulled in higher WW money on its first day since MW2 in 2009:

COD:  MW2 = $310m+

COD:  BO = $360m+

COD:  MW3 = $400m+

But what makes Halo 4's $220m so impressive is that it only released on a single system as opposed to COD's three platforms (including PC).

Wow! So in reality Halo 4 could come close to MW2 360 day one numbers. I would be very impressed with that.

Awesome, I had a feeling it would do well. I think it will continue to do so as the word spreads of how good it is. Between this and BO2, MS is gonna be raking that much more in.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

GAF said there are 500k LEs of Halo 4 in the market... that's puts the numbers around 3.3 million units in the first day.

LE console?

The LE console comes with a normal copy of Halo 4... so no.

This.

So why count out this?I understand if count out LE console since NPD didn't track it

I'll wait for the numbers, nice revenue though.

Can't wait for GTA V to break both Halo 4 and COD's numbers!

You can't say that off of one single week of a game's release. If it has good legs then you'd be wrong.

It could very well be in decline in the UK but one week is way too soon to judge (I'm sure you can appreciate that with all the flak the Vita and 3DS have gotten right after their release)

The $220m is the average sales of LE ($99) and standard edition ($59)...

500k LE ($99) = $45m
$220m - $45 = 175$ for SE = ~3,000k

So 3,500k units but the EU sales is more expensive so aroun 3.3 million units sold in day one... the number can be 3.1 million too but over 3.3 million is almost impossible with this revenue.

I think Microsoft is not counting the SE bundled with 360.
