Yes. Black and White (the games were in color, but with a monochromatic title, as opposed to Blue/Green/Red/Yellow, the colorful games on the Black-and-white console)

And Mr Khan's is Pokemon upon reflection, maybe Black and White?

Damn, beaten. Shouldn't have dawdled.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

49: Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain (PS2/2003)

I was never really a fan of the actual WWE; it was too overdramatic and clearly faked. But somehow Here Comes the Pain felt real, in a way that future games haven't. Unlike their real-life counterparts, these guys didn't seem terrified of ever hurting each other. I loved the story mode (even if it was a little more linear than its predecessor Shut Your Mouth) and especially the ability to customise your own wrestler. And nobody with a pulse doesn't enjoy a Royal Rumble, especially since you can keep joining in as new characters if you are knocked out. I had a lot of fun with this, and it speaks volumes about the other 48 games that I consider them better.

Game 48: I didn't play it on its original console, but much later on an emulator. It was a series about which I had always heard great things, and always wanted to try. I do believe it's the first time that free roam (of some sort) was introduced into the series, but then in a way it's only the second game in that series to be released. In a way. It was supposed to make you feel permanent consequences for your actions, but hey, save-stating ^_^

And since that could apply to a wide range of games: seriously, what the hell is up with everyone's hair? It appears to be every colour of the rainbow.

(Hopefully this is harder than yesterday's pathetically easy riddle).

And no, it isn't a sports game this time, and the publisher is doing very well indeed.

Fire Emblem 2: Gaiden

Interesting, but no.

Fire Emblem 2: Gaiden

Interesting, but no.

As i explained in the mod chat (just because it's interesting enough for others to see here), my answer is correct as long as you're not going by the Western count for Fire Emblem (where Sacred Stones is the second entry, which is Kantor's 48). Fire Emblem 8 (Western 2) actually imitated the Japanese Fire Emblem 2, Fire Emblem Gaiden, which was the first Fire Emblem to have a world map, and would be a game that you'd have to play on an emulator.
