#28: Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (2004)
Last Year: 32

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door gets so much right. Amazing dialogue, hilarious humor, great characters (Rawk Hawk!), awesome partners (Vivian <3), fun and engaging battle system, Bowser sections (brilliant!), vibrant graphics, and buxomed ghosts. The Thousand Year Door is a culmination of all of these great things, and the result is nothing short of gaming bliss. There's really nothing more to say other than Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is something magical... Good times indeed.

28th hint: This game was a departure from a much loved franchise, this game was criticized at the time but is now also much loved.

The Wind Waker?

Yes!

Sangheli, I just realized we have the same #28!

This means, according to the Kresnik rule, that we are bestest friends separated at birth :)

My #28, which I outed myself, is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Unfairly criticized for its cartoonish appearance, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker features some of the most memorable and vibrant graphics of any Zelda adventure and boasts, without a doubt, the most visually expressive Link of any franchise game. Set on a huge, never-ending great sea, The Wind Waker is the story of Link’s quest to rescue his captured sister. Unlike other Zelda games, in which Link travelled by foot or on horseback, The Wind Waker asks its players to navigate across the vast ocean in a small sailboat. Aside from its gorgeous graphics, The Wind Waker boasts a terrific soundtrack and a deep, sometimes unpredictable story complete with several mid-game revelations and a truly shocking ending.

29th - The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask

Majoras Mask is one of the best games that the N64 has to offer. The game offered a lot of fun side quests and a very good plot. Unlike some other Zelda games, this game did not see many flaws from me. I can not blame the time mechanic as it was a part of the. However one of my gripes with this game is that some sidequests are an annoyance, like for example just missing them.

Before it is to late, I see this game superior than Ocarina of Time. I thought that Majoras Mask improved on a lot of things and introduced some neat things, like the masks. Playing as the other races must have been my favorite part and I hope that Nintendo will bring it back sometime.
