I know about the "save to SD Card" feature.  I meant the "Take it to a friend's house" feature.

Oh.

Why? What am I missing?

Because what is the point of SD card compatibility if you can't store DLC, Virtual Console or WiiWare games to them like you could with the original Wii?

But hey, at least we don't have to worry about people getting suckered by those overpriced Wii-branded "official" SD cards that cost double the money of plain old SD cards, and usually for less memory to boot.

Save files for those who want to download the save files from GameFaqs.com.

Nintendo and GameFaqs has signed on a contract to support each other, that is why.

Seriously??

Damn... I here I thought people couldn't possibly be any lazier than they already are... now they can just download save files with the game already 100% completed.

*crosses fingers that GTAV comes to Wii U* lol

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Something tells me they'll put a 2-3 download limit if that is the case and after that you would have to purchase the game again at the full price it was originally or is available.

Not sure I follow, why put a download limit for a full game even if it is digital? It's the same as a physical copy.

$$$$$, its all about the money. If I am wrong on the limit, disregard my post.

Oh ok, well then Nintendo just needs to put the digital games at a higher price than the normal retail price. The games will still be cheaper than buying them in my country lol.

No I was actually referring to virtual console games/older system game (NES,SNES,N64, and GCN), not digital versions of Wii-U games but I guess that can still apply. Higher price than the retail games...why? No one does that o.o. That would literally kill digital sales lol.

Aren't some 3DS games more expensive digitally?

Ok, so just to clarify. When I purchase a game off the eshop, say for example Mighty Switch. I will be unable to save it to the 32GB SD card that comes with the Deluxe Model Wii U?

Cause that would be just stupid. Especially when I was able to save all my VC game onto my Wii's SD card.

Could someone clarify for me? Because I don't own a External Hard drive and I need to know if it will a mandatory purchase if I want to download Eshop titles.

32 GB SD card? Dont you mean 32 GB internal HD?

Oh shoot! This whole time I thought the Deluxe Editions memory was SD not internal HD. Boy do I feel stupid :P.

I plan on only downloading Eshop titles to the HD since I'm going to be purchasing only physical retail copies. So the 32gb should be sufficient for me, and if needed I'll just purchase a externall HD.

Thanks for the clarification BasilZero!

The 32 GB are internal flash memory. The same goes for the 8 GB Wii U model. And the Wii came with 512 MB of internal flash memory.

Thanks for the Clarification Rol :)

Yeah, this whole time I kept reading/interperting the flash memory as SD memory. That was a big "Doh! I missed moment!"

we had a 300+ posts thread about wifi and the option to buy a 15 bucks ethernet dongle... so I expect at least 400 posts of not able to use a 32gb sd card to save your downloaded content.. whats the SD card then for? only Savegames?

Just Nintendo trying to act liked they are adding value to the system.
I'm guessing its so you can easily manage your digital photos from your camera?

Stuff like this is unnecessary. It's why Sony removed the little media hub with the Slim.
