I agree that Halo 4 is the pinnacle of Halo (in terms of campaign, at least). However, Reach is still awesome, so I don't really agree with you about it being a low point of the franchise. That title belongs to ODST.

Can't wait to see the sales...

Multiplayer oppinion?

At the moment, I think Reach and Halo 3's multiplayer was better, but maybe that's just because I'm not used to it yet. Also, the main thing I played in Reach and 3 was SWAT, so maybe that's why I'm not enjoying it as much (that will be remedied soon though, because SWAT is being added to the Halo 4 playlist in a few days). Halo 4's multiplayer is still amazing though!

I finally got off the ship (at the beginning) and landed. My jaw dropped. The story got me gripped from the opening CGI intro. Gameplay seems top notch so far. Oh and I started on heroic. Playing on easy or normal is not much fun as your just going to zip right thru it.

What 343 Industries have done is nothing short of astounding. Not to take anything away from Bungie, but 343I is proving to be the best thing that happened to Halo imo.

I think it's quite the opposite and just because Chief and Cortana are back that doesn't make the game better and i know that a lot of you halo fans love the game just because of that. Halo 3 was special first game i've ever played on 360 it was epic for me at the time, for Halo Reach i had my doubts but it turned out awesome and i played the multiplayer a lot,but Halo 4 umm not that much it lost it's magic and i think microsoft should leave it alone.

But that's just my opinion people.

I heard Halo 4 was really disappointingly short.

6-8 hours?

On 'legendary'?  I don't think so.

I finished the game in 8 hour on heroic.  and i had my son playing co-op with me

I'm trying to just do the final mission on legendary -  so much more difficult

Haven't played Reach yet but I thought ODST was a clusterfuck of a failure.

I finished the campaign on legendary. Alone. It took me close to 20 hours I think.
And Halo offers so much more.

Halo 4 had the best campaign of the franchise. Yeah, including Halo CE. I know it was just awesome when you played Halo for the very first time, but don't let nostalgia fool you. The campaign of Halo 4 is something special. It is the perfect balance between "Over-the-top-oh-shit-action-moments", a rich background story and an emotional connection to the whole game. After finishing the game I watched the credits and listened to the outstanding soundtrack for about 5 minutes. After that I was like "Okay, where can I find the novels for this story now?"

I still haven't touched multiplayer, but I can't wait for it.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

6-8 hours?

My friend who's really into Halo beat it in 6 hours his first play-through. The length was pretty much his only complaint about the game.

reach was a let down? man every one hates on ODST as well.... been a halo fan since CE, and felt they were both better than 3. 4 is good, not great but thoroughly enjoyable.. i question some of the revisionist history, and game mechanics choices, but enjoyed playing through it... i hate having to go to waypoint to check the console issue up.

im not sure which had the best campaign ... id like to mix CE, 4, and ODST. have not tried multiplayer yet but will tomorrow. 2 still had the best multiplayer ive tried so far.... CE was nice but that pistol man people could own you it could really unbalence the game

come play minecraft @  mcg.hansrotech.com

minecraft name: hansrotec

Halo 4 has the best multiplayer and single player experience (arguably) from what I've read and experienced so far. Though I think Halo 2 has a slight edge for MP for me.

Anyways, It's funny that Reach will still have the higher score. Granted I don't care as much about reviews whenever I think about Suikoden 2 which didn't even have a 90.

It's just that simple.

It feels strange that I'm only hearing so much criticism of Bungie and previous Halo games now. I really can't recall much of it previously.

I got reported and called idiot many times when I did not give Halo 3/Reach more than a 9/10.  I did not give both games less than a 8,8/10 either.  YOu don't have to tell me that the behave of many is rather sad...
