Still doesn't make sense because it's only #10 on Steam sales charts currently and only 3000 people are playing it at this moment. It might have sold pretty well, but 400k+ retail?! Hell no lol

i would think many who are interested in these kind of games don't even know what steam is and it is cheaper at retail as on steam so why should someone buy it on steam? the game is still on place 3 and in front of black ops 2 on german amazon and it's in the charts for 84 days now

Thats just insane... Look at the 2012 version, 0.03 LT, and the 2011 version? 0.22 LT! This 2013 version doing 0.44 FW and... A LOT on Germany? It cant be right...

Edit: Nevermind, 2012 version chart is a mess.

That makes me want to buy it.

I told you guys a few years ago that germans LOVE their simulator games. Man I wish I could find that post/thread. There are farm simulators, digging simulators, construction simulators, bus simulators, police car simulators, snow plow simulators, TRASH TRUCK SIMULATORS, etc.

My favorite one is the strip club simulator, though.

Here's some gameplay ()

That looks like a lot of fun to mess around with. WiiU version please. Could make for some good laughs in couch co-op.

I did some investigating on this and apparently the developers took feedback from fans very seriously and opened the 2013 version up to make it easily moddable. So this is like some Gary's mod shit.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

But only half comes from Germany and 3/4ths from Europe. Who the hell is buying it outside of those places? :o

I'm just wondering if it only works with steam or if it can be played without it? If if can, then 3k simultaneous players on Steam is not representative of all the people playing, but otherwise it is.

405,634 - 216,338 = 189,296.

switzerland and austria have 20% of germany's population so 216,338*0,2 = 43,267 but i think the rate of sales will be higher in austria and switzerland as in germany, the games is developed in switzerland.

189,296 - let's say 50k is ~140k

so 140k rest with maybe some sales in poland or so and i just checked italian amazon and it's also selling good there!

http://www.amazon.it/gp/bestsellers/videogames/528646031/ref=s9_ri_bw_clnk?pf_rd_m=A11IL2PNWYJU7H&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-5&pf_rd_r=A3DCEC4AA1D646B8932B&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=283004967&pf_rd_i=435495031

but 80k are for regions outside of europe, maybe it got some sales in south america or australia or something^^

Lot's of big Youtuber's have been making videos on this game and I'm pretty sure that has led to the massive increase in sales as well.

The best thing to come out of farming simulator are the giantbomb videos of it

Whatever crissindahouse says, I'm pretty sure some PC games are overtracked in Germany since we start tracking them. No doubt PC gaming is much bigger here (percentage wise).

Anno 2070 for example: http://www.gamestrend.de/articles/v/1ce99ed3-d945-4447-8214-9ea605887b15/Anno-2070---Knackt-die-100-000

100k in 4 weeks. We have it at 200k for the same time period.

I expect the same happened here. Well we'll see it at the end of the month when the BIU makes a press release with their sales awards.
