A lot of shots people just looking at the gamepad while the person holding it plays. The 'everyone's involved = fun' aspect doesn't really come across compared to the initial Wii commercials.
Yeah I was confused a bit...its not dubstep for those calling it that.

there you go.
The ad was fine for 1 minute and wasn't designed for the "core." Whatever core means nowadays. >.>
From that commercial the Wii U looks like a new controller for the Wii. The commercial is annoying to the ears too.
i thought it was terrible. The first commercial should clearly state what the product is and why its new and different. This commercial did neither of these things .-. i am disappointed

You are young and misguided. Someday you will find the true essence of dubstep, much like she has:

Reposting because I can't edit videos into posts.
Behold!

Very appealing to the hardcore gamer indeed. Though I guess TV ads won't be the things that attract the hardcore anyway.
Well, aside from the fact that the music is terrible, I think the ad is decent. On a visual level it succeeds, but the problem is, like others have stated, it doesn't make a point of saying that this is a fully new console. "The all new WiiU" could still be referring to a new peripheral for the Wii. No mention of "new HD graphics" or anything like that to get the point across that this is indeed a new system.
Also, the lack of anything for the core market in any of those squares kinda sucks, as it would show more diversity for the product. I realize everything in the commercial are the Nintendo-published titles, but they could have shown a couple of seconds of Ninja Gaiden 3 for that.
It certainly doesn't hold a candle to the "Wii would like to play" ads for the Wii console, but hopefully the commercials for the individual games like Mario and ZombiU will be better.
Terrible ad, but I don't expect US games industry to have good ads outside of some from Sony like Michael and Butler. Most are like those CoD ads and battlefield ads, hilarious.
