January - Luigi's Mansion?
February - Dragon Quest VII
March - Monster Hunter IV
April - Tomodachi? Layton? Ace Attorney? Shin Megami Tensei?
Dat momentum, and that's just building for Pokémon in the end of the year.

I honestly can't understand why black and white 2 didn't come to 3ds in the first place. Not only would this announcement (since pokemon is out already) have put vita in the worst position ever, it would have stopped the sluggish sales of 3ds overseas.
One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D
When it comes to Japan + 3DS, Nintendo's been sharp since last year despite NSMB2 not quite selling as explosively as NCL probably would like.
DQ7 in Feburary + Monster Hunter 4 for March = lights out for Japan.

3 reasons
1 - Money
2 - Games take time to be made, especially firsts on the system (new engine, models, features, etc). Gamefreaks is only 71 people, according to wiki (with source)
3 - Pokémon games benefit a lot from bigger userbases. 3DS will practically double its user base till next holidays.
Nice for all ds owners! Now bring it to psn too please. I'll always be a couch/tv gamer.

Not gonna happen. Maybe Square-Enix will catch on to what Capcom is doing and maybe have a DQVII HD Version for the Wii U (just a HD version of the 3DS game).

This is the Game of Thrones

Also as an interesting aside, this is a pretty nice case of things coming full circle -- Dragon Quest VII was originally announced by then Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi for the N64 64DD in 1995.
Of course it was switched to the Playstation and never was released on the N64/64DD.
Now it will be appearing on a Nintendo platform for the first time, some 17 years later (time flies).

Never knew that, nice! Just a little correction, it was 1996.
Dragon Quest VI was released on december 1995.
When it was announced for the PS, it made both Enix and Sony's stock rise!

FF VII was originally on N64 as well, maybe that'll come back to Nintendo eventually?
