Forums - Nintendo - RE5 petition for wii has over 33.000 sigs and cap still not saying anything

@ Rol

Ok. So what's changed from the PS2 version, aside from the controls?

And what I said was, anyone who said they purchased it because of the games out on the system, must have purchased it with blind brand loyalty, as there are many and much better games to be had on the XBOX 360.

Okay, you win. The 360 does not have games across every genre, specificaly good RPGs, and a lot of the games are in the fps world. And if I didn't like first person shooters, I can see why someone would want to own a system that covers more genre than one.

I see the light.

"I am sorry, but your second paragraph doesn't make sense at all. Someone who purchased his/her Wii as his/her first Nintendo console ever, bought it with blind brand loyalty?"

Exactly right! How can people say that "soccer moms" and "senior citizens" are buying Wii based on brand loyalty? I mean, it is only "soccer moms" and "senior citizens" that buy the console right? Right PS3 fanbot? Right XBOX 360 fanbot? Nice try.

"You defined the rules when you added RE4 which is the same as the PS2 port. And I will then summon the XBLA to my list of XBOX 360 good games to play, and Since I can throw in 2006 and 2005, my list for good games, non XBLA at least doubled, maybe even tripled."

You tried to back off the point. With the Virtual Console plus Wii games, there is plenty of reason to buy a Wii. Masquerade it all you want to, XBOX 360 has great XBLA games as well, but to say Wii is only bought on brand loyalty, and not based on games is rather stupid.

Especially when thee initial argument made by Rol was that there are enough good games for Wii (not that there were MORE good games) to warrant the purchase.

I didn't back off of the point, the Wii does have more games across every genre, while the 360s are concentrated. I thought that he was trying to go toe-to-toe with Wii software and 360 software saying one was better than the other, and I was wrong, and I digress, but there is no need for you to try to bring me down further. :(

Well, I must say I appreciate that people can admit their wrong or change his/her perspective in a discussion. Some people just go on and on and on (Girl Gamer Elite, for example) which, quite frankly, can drive me nuts. Cheers.

Actually I've admitted the error or my ways pretty much everytime I've been proven wrong, you may laugh at that statement but keep in mind 99% of my arguments are on issues that are subjective or simply a matter of opinion so saying there is ever really a "right" or "wrong" in my arguments isn't really the case. You either agree with my argument or you don't, that's basically what it boils down to, there's very rarely an objective  right or wrong when it comes to things I take issue with. While I applaude Meister's maturity here bear in mind he's the same person who started a private message war with me in which he vowed to get the last word, I ended up giving up out of lack of interest.

And tsk tsk at all the bans. Suddenly I don't feel so exceptional anymore.

33,000 signatures isn't anything!

EarthBound fans have sent hundreds of thousands of signatures to Nintendo and Nintendo hasn't done a thing. They aknowledge that their is a fanbase but still refuse to bring the games to North America.

Fact is Resident Evil 5 would need to be watered down so far to run on the Nintendo Wii. It would need to be rebuilt from the ground up. Capcom doesn't see any point in doing that the cost of doing that would be almost as much as developing the game in the first place.

So saying 33,000 people will buy it, doesn't make it worth while. if they had maybe a million signatures then it might be worth something to Capcom. But a dismal 33,000. Nah they'll just put it through a paper shreader and keep working.

If you want Resident Evil 5 your going to have to buy a 360 or PS3. I already gave in and bought a 360 Elite you should too!

You are a lovely human being, please continue to share your wisdom and enlightenment.

ur just jealous as i am of his wisdom..

JoeCool7, that's the same crap everyone has been spouting, no we're not bothering with another console to get a game that should be on the Wii. I'd rather wait till it was ported to Nintendo's next gen console if that's the case. We know this game stands no chance of ever living up to RE4 so its nothing needed immediately.

And 33,000 is pretty impressive, though I'm sure given the dubious arguing stance you've made quite clear, you'd want us to think otherwise.
