Hmm, maybe because a lot of 3DS users (sold 260k on DS) already played that game less than 4 years ago in japan? (1)

Or maybe because Vita in not an inviable platform for games? That one too, you know. (2)

(1) so current Vita owners never had DS?

(2) funny you'd say that http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=4841732

1 - Who knows (not you). I think most of they don't, them owned a PSP. It would be strange (and rare) a remake 4 years later to be on the same system family - can't find any other examples. Even Super Famicon remakes of NES Dragon Quest took more time than that to appear. I'm not a computer, so I know it must exist some, but the real reason is what Soriku said before on this thread, it's been planed for a while.

2 - Where I said Vita is not a viable platform for games there? In fact, I believe it's the opposite. You on the other hand called me troll there. Will call me here again?

R did probably over 100k on the Vita, so a new one makes sense, if they see that there are Vita users who want JRPGs. What competition will they have? Persona did well, and lets be honest this is a b-tire remake, not a full, main entry sequel. the Vita is getting some decent niche support if you ask me, and the first quarter of next year is looking ok in Japan. Now lets see a pricecut and some western-oriented hits Sony

I imagine they're moving right along remaking the DS Tales games. It shouldn't be all that tough and gives PS fans a chance to play them. What I hope comes of this is that Namco gives them a chance at the West. Innocence and Hearts are supposed to be very good.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

now I will do my rain dance in hope that this comes to the west

It left the top 30 with 57k in sales. I really think it's impossible for it to reach 100k, less even over 100k.

Add digital and bargain bins, and that number reaches 70k, imo.

If the Ninja Gaiden Vita port can be sufficiently successful that 100k worldwide physical copies + x digital is enough to warrant the sequel getting ported, then I'm sure Tales of Innocence's 90k Japanese physical copies + x digital is enough to explain their choice of releasing Hearts on Vita.

I'm led to believe it's more of a remake though, in full 3D, which must be costing them a bit more.

In any case, I'm pleased. I'm sure it's going to help Vita in some capacity.

The problem with nintendo consoles is that even when 3rd party support it the only games that people buy are
Super Mario, Super Mario Bros, Mario Karft, zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Mario Party, mario tennis, pokemon, Animal Crossing. Only some games really sell on ninty consoels too ( Just dance for an example)
Maybe thats a reason why many puplishers support sony instat of Nintendo.

FUCK YEAH!

Cause namco is weird

Well it shows 90k on VGC, so thats where my number came from. Never the less, just like with Ragnarok it could have some pretty strong digital sales. Did it hit 100k or not, is irrelevant, seeing that it had to be a successful enough experiment fro namco to try again
