Most of my Excel worksheet is done. Besides the five individual categories PS3, X360, Wii, 3DS and Vita I've added Overall, Consoles, Handheld, Nintendo and Sony for a total of 10 categories that can be won. The consequence of adding the last two is that the X360 is only represented in 4 different categories, while the others are represented in 5. I hope this is ok.

I'm not really a fan of the idea. There haven't been many ties anyway. I'm sure there will be a different thread for predictions of WiiU.

Assumptions:                                           

  • Wii will continue large YOY decline, especially with wii u launching.                                           
  • No permanent price cuts on PS360 as they are comfortable with WiiU pricing difference and want one final year of higher margins in prep for next gen.
  • Vita has no platform driving software and will be stagnant.                                           
  • 3DS will be hot item with plentiful stock.                                           
  • WiiU will be hot item but sold out. (yes I know WiiU isn't part of prediction, but I wanted to add it anyways)

Many thanks I'll add it. The DS game from 2005 sold 5 million in Japan, it could certainly make a splash.
