Forums - Sony - Vita's Killer App IS coming

This look like a good game not a system seller though. I dont know why Sony would not have a Gran Turismo or Monster Hunter game in the pipeline for the Vita. IMO those would be bigtime system sellers. A port of Blops 2 with carry over stats would have moved units and been huge too but the COD game that is coming out looks terrible though.

People isn't going to buy a Wii U to play multiplatform games but they are going to buy a PSVita to play multiplatform games. Makes sense.

1. Its not multiplatform, its PSVita exclusive. Its an entirely different game from AC3.

2. The fact its handheld differentiates it even further from the console version, people may buy this game based not only on its own merits (lets wait for reviews), but because its an entirely new way to experience the AC franchise. There have been other portable titles (bloodlines) but they were so deeply gimped they're not even worth mentioning.

I know what it is. But 95% of the people out there don't know it. For them my statement is true, hence it won't be a killer app.

Edit - Heck, even SCEE doesn't know this is an exclusive. Notice the lack of "Only On PlayStation" in the european cover:

well good luck to it but that's a tall order,it's an 18 isn't it shouldn't they go for a 15 at least

I'm pretty sure the fact that the box to this has the female assassin on it who anyone who knows the AC series will know is a new character will know this isn't a port of a console game. All of the ports on the wii U are just games lifted from the last year or 2 from the Xbox and Ps3 the odd title getting a menu which works with the gamepad but the games themselves are the same thing.

Because people get all my game news from reading the tags around the corners of game boxes. Besides it's just funny when they're wrong 6 months down the line http://cdn1.spong.com/pack/b/i/bioshock252866l/_-Bioshock-Xbox-360-_.jpg

Considering this game has a female protagonist, a first for an assassin's creed, there is quite a bit a bit of a difference between this game and AC III.

At least, in terms of non-gameplay elements.

what the heck are you talking about?

OT: The term killerApp shouldn't have been used in this thread. You should know better as to what the thread would turn into around here. Just a simple thread focused on the story trailer so people can focus on the game itself would have been much better. Anyways the game is looking fantastic. Ubisoft Sofia have been very impressive so far

The only way to draw any sort of attention to threads no on VGC is by making a hit grabbing headline. That is what I've learned the hard way. I'm sorry for doing it, but more people will be able to see it because of it.

Last time I checked, doing that was against the rules.
