Forums - Sony - Vita's Killer App IS coming

I think Sony should have money hat developers and continued with their already proved killer apps for PSP: GTA, God of War, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy.

Who ever started this trend of calling games (killer)"apps" needs to be shot.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Vita's Killer App IS coming

It's just not enough...

Well, to make this short...

I suspect this game will sell well amongst those who already own a vita but probably wont persuade many (non vita owners) to pick one up. Looks pretty impressive though.
I myself am waiting for a reason to buy a vita and I like the ac franchise but I'm filing this game under 'might consider it if/when I ever buy a vita'...too much other stuff coming out around the same time and I only have limited funds (not to mention limited hours!)to spend :(

It looks good, not great though.

I'm not really getting excited. But that's probably because I don't excited for Assassin's Creed in general. Overrated series if you ask me.

But the point is, the game will probably help Vita sales. I think it will be a good game up for this task. I do think it's a grave mistake to release it on the exact same day as it's big console counterpart. This will definitely hurt it. I think sales should be in the Uncharted region, so it should be a top selling game for Vita. It likely won't be the one game to save the Vita, but have enough of these types of games, and the Vita will probably survive.

A step in the right direction no less.

It looks awesome, but it's gonna take a huge marketing campaign to get this to sell really well. That plus a Vita/AC/8gb card bundle for $250 or less could do quite well.

As mushroomboy said, it's probably gonna be popular among Vita owners, but will struggle to make anyone without a Vita buy one. Just like LBPV, which is actually selling really well, but there was no hardware boost.

I can't wait until it's released. I really hope it will be 100% better then the Bloodline PSP version, because that was crap. The trailers for Liberation are looking promising and finally a full portable version of the AC franchise. But I agree with most here that I don't think this will be a system seller, but only will do pretty good with the current Vita owners. I hope it does pretty good, because otherwise I'm afraid that it will scare the (already rare) third parties for the Vita even more.

In my opinion liberation is not enough to boost up Vita sales. I had Ps3 and if I had Vita, I prefer to buy and play on PS3 version.
