Forums - Nintendo - Are people still confusing Wii U with Wii?

Bloody hell, that sign is madness! did you tell the lad that he still wrote it wrong???

Hey I confused the wii u for a new controller for the wii when they first announced it. So I don't blame them.

Nintendo is to blame for this confusion for naming their NSMB games so confusingly. NSMB2 is actually NSMBWii, NSMB2 is the 3rd in the series, but people are going to associate the upcoming NSMBU, the 4th in the series, as being #2 to NSMBWii.

It reminds me of the ridiculousness of the Super Mario Advance series of games for GBA... SMA1 was actually SMB2, SMA2 was actually SMW, SMA3 was actually SMW2 Yoshi's Island, and SMA4 was actually SMB3. Confusing as fuck!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

^ I second the motion, the first time I saw that I was like, "did Nintendo went bonkers on us?"

That was stupid lol.

I remember back when I just bought a Gameboy Advance  I bought Super Mario Advance which was clearly Super Mario Bros 2(america) and then the box stated it includes the original Mario Bros.

So I thought cool

THIS cool game         + THIS cool game

But then it was:

A remake of the arcade game which looked like  THIS:     (still cool)

I forgot that MARIO BROS without SUPER is this arcade game  LOOL.

Haha, what's really funny is the original MB arcade game is a mini-game in SMB3... so basically Nintendo advertised 2 games in Super Mario Advance, but really it was just one actual game with one minigame lol.

Who cares if the casuals can't tell the difference? Gamers will

Since that's who Nintendo gets the majority of its profits from, I would say Nintendo care, a lot.

I really, really hope not.

But that sign seems to be confused between a 3DS, Wii, and Wii U... luckily some customers aren't that stupid

I doubt the majority of people that Nintendo will make its money off of are the confused ones.
