When you go to a site like Metacritic, you have to understand that the website does NOT take into account the reviews for each platform. There are SO many reviews for a Multigame that clearly states they tried on PS3 & 360, yet Meta for example adds it to the 360 instead of PS3 and vice versa sometimes.

GO from the version with the MOST reviews. I understand that theres a difference between versions, but Meta is NOT a good representative of that. Few sites does seperate reviews for PC and Consoles, especially for EACH GAME available. Based on the 360 which shows the most reviews => It has 89 Metacritic based upon 49 critics.

In the end, we use Meta to see what most outlets have given games and a rather.. odd score . So use the one with the most collective opinions...

Realisticly like mentioned: Mass Effect 3 is the only real nominee since the rest are all staggering around 87-90 (Diablo, Max Payne, Dishonored, Borderlands 2 etc).

Journey could be nominated, it depends wether they give a shit or not regarding PSN titles and so forth. But lets hope AC3 and Halo 4 are clear nominees like we all expect them to be (92+). But I am worried for AC3 for some reason. Halo 4 however: Not so much.

I am VERY excited with AC3 and I agree completely with what you said. That said. I doubt. I dont know why! Maybe because AC1 had so much hype and it to some extent failed (So repetetive). AC2 was ..better but I still didnt like that character. Revelations and Brotherhood were more like expansions, well I mean, they were not a whole new entry like AC3. But I hope you can understand my scepticism. Despite it all: I have preorderd the collectors edition and I think it looks stellar. I just have this instinct that I want to keep my hopes in check. So we will see!

Too many armchair review sites wanting to make a name for themselves will drop negative reviews for the game to be much higher than 92-93. It should take loads of GOTY titles though if it lives up to the promise shown so far.

But the Halo 4 reviews will be worth nothing. Because most reviewers will give it 90+ even it is the biggest piece crap since Ninja Gaiden 3. Just look at the Skyword Sword reviews it has a Meta of 93 because most people don´t to give an honest score. Just look at Gamespot what happened.

The chances of Halo finally getting GOTY again is pretty high being that a lot of the hyped games ended up not coming up to snuff. It wont be the top game on Xbox Live though, COD has always owned Halo since the first MW. Assassins Creed 3 and Mass Effect 3 are still in its way.

90-93 and GOTY will be Halo 4 or Assassins Creed 3 or even Mass Effct 3, yeah dont forget guys ME3 came out this year! :D

I would say an 89-90 on meta with Assassin's Creed III on a 92. The competition is shit this year so it will either one for game of the year.

Since both MW and Halo 3 came out in 2007, I'm very sure that Halo 3 was the most played game on XBL.
