PS3 dropped $100 in 2009 and $50 in 2011. In 3 years they released 2 slim redesigns.

360 dropped console prices in September 2008 and waited 4 years to drop again by $50. Just 1 slim redesign. Also MS has to compensate in NA and Europe for lagging Japan sales. PS3 doesnt have that problem.

How what I underlined you can see how in reality, its been the exact opposite. MS has been literally coasting for the last 4 years. Sony has been clawing and scratching for every inch.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Nintendo will barely enter the HD era because of the HDD size? WTF is that suppose to mean. Giving customers the option to increase it as they want is better that nickel and diming them with the added cost of a large HDD.

WiiU has a primitive online? Do you even know shit about what has been shown so far? It's looking to be better in some ways than what PSN offers. That's right, I said it, better than PSN. Nintendo TVii and Miiverse look like great concepts. Nintendo Network sounds great.

Last in the digital segments, eh? They're pushing digital distribution hard with WiiU and beating MS and Sony to the punch with a console that can offer digital distribution of full retail titles day one of their release, indie companies having been praising WiiU's e-shop saying it's easier to work with than PS3's and 360's.

It's like you have no idea what WiiU offers and are just basing all this off Wii.

I still have faith in Sony. One generation isn't enough to completely destroy a company such as Sony at this point. The PS3 has been profitable for 2+ years, they've been doing fine.

Whilst I agree with most of what you are saying, I can see where he's coming from (VGKing... whether he's trolling or not). The network infrastructure on Wii was the worst of the current gen consoles and it will be challenging for them to build upon that. Steam, PSN and Xbox Live took a fair bit of time to build up to where they are today and they're constantly improving.

It all looks promising so far though I think the first two years after the WiiU release will see a massive improvement in network infrastructure (regardless of how good it is at launch).

This is incorrect. They will have a very robust network infrastructure from the get-go, since they already have their draft run off the 3DS.

I strongly disagree with this. There's no denying Nintendo will improve on the U's online package on the long run, but its launch will be perfectly competitive.

And VGKing was horribly off the deep end on his points (esp. HDD size, primitive online network and decline of Wii sales). On all his points he was horribly off. It's better to ask a Nintendo fan first, we actually know what's going on.
