I don't understand the controversy surrounding this issue, by the look of the story she brought upon it herself, no one forced her to bare boobs, no one forced her to have sex with someone elses boyfriend.. I can't even force myself to feel sad unfortunately, there are alot worse stories out there that don't garner anywhere as much as sympathy as some silly teenage girl that made some attention seeking actions that have ultimately resulted bringing around her own demise. The only ones I do feel sympathy for are the parents, they've obviously loved and cherished her despite the flaws and have moved a few times as a result of her silly actions, yet she still continued and proceeded to commit suicide.

Absolutely no sympathy on my part unfortunately, no one forced her to remain on the internet either, simple solution would have been to stop frequenting the sites and get on with her bloody life. Harsh, but if anything it just makes all the other attention seekers see her as some sort of martyr.

I do agree with you in ways but it doesn't mean I agree with the people who were bullying her either.  She just showed she had a week mind and let it get to her way too much.  Some people can't handle that kind of stuff.  All in honesty, she should have just been removed from the internet.  Facebook is worthless garbage and they should ban posts like that.  They need moderators, lots of them.

JayWood - I bet there is someone in your school that gets bullied. I don't think you can really make such claims. Unless you have a super small school... like less than 500 kids maybe smaller because my highschool had 800 and I had no clue what went on with what except with my group.

But I agree I don't understand why she didn't have any friends. Maybe she had a hard time making friends (This is me. I talk to people but don't really like anyone who I talk to. I find a lot of people just down right pathetic or annoying). Another thing I can thing of is maybe she didn't have a sparkling personality and people genuinely didn't like her. Maybe she was a heinous bitch.

Both of these are her fault to an extent. I wouldn't blame her for the first one and would say ride on annoying people aren't worth your time. But if it's the second one... then she deserved some harrassment.

And I just thought of another reason which I would not say is her fault... Maybe her friends moved away. I really don't feel like I have any friends at this point in my life because all the people I would consider friends are scattered around the country at schools and stuff.

I'm not in high school anymore, but my school was between 800-1200 every year.  I live in a southern state though so people are very friendly where I live.  It's a one of those places where you know most people in town.  I know people tend to go in groups like skater, prep, jock, etc but I always found it easy to talk to whoever and even those super jerkish people had friends to talk to.  The only time I would see people get picked on it was by people who are generally jerkish and unpopular picking on someone else, and when that happened, very often someone who was popular would stand up for the kid.  Yeah people argued and bitched at each other but people always moved on and still had friends, even if it was just 1 or 2.

Why didnt her friends stick up for her?

I used to take the piss out of all sorts of people in school. They were the highlights of school life. Me and my audience have laughed at the expense of others, often to the point of both sides being reduced to tears.

My victims learnt to deal with it and when I got bored (usually after a reprimand), I apologize and move onto someone else. I remained friends with the people I taunt, since they were the kind of people who don't have many friends. Their victimization gave them a personality and purpose. Without my piss taking, nobody would have noticed their presence.

Bullying didn't drive this girl to her death. It was blackmail, assault, threat and insecurity. Any story that starts with a 14 year ''insecure girl'' girl and a webcam is going to end bad.

There is nothing you can do about bullying, aside from hard detentions and suspensions. Its always going to be there. Instead focus should be getting these insecure people much needed help.

I just went and bad mouthed a bunch of people leaving asshole messages there. Can you get banned from youtube?

Banned from youtube for harrassing members or making bad comments?  No, you can't be banned otherwise their user base would drop by over 90%.
