There's no way you can do this on the 3DS even with a great engine:

That actually doesn't look to be graphically intensive at all when you look at everything up close and in detail.

The only thing I question is the resolution and the lack of aliasing...

Ni No Kuni sales probably made them change platforms... this was Wii U or PS3 before, no doubt about it... don't trust screenshots, watch the video, it was not possible even on vita, imo. Until proved they changed platforms, the HD version still exists imo. Or it can be just like Ni No Kuni...  PS3 + 3DS

But great!!!!!! Level 5's 3DS support is now changing to legendary status!!!

I think this was originally meant to be a PS3 game but Ni No Kuni's sales must have scared them off. There's no way a 3DS game can look like that, I'll be impressed if it does.

Can it be that this game was 3DS all along? Corocoro is a magazine highly especialized in portables, so I expect a HD reveal, if there's any, in other magazines. But that pic lowered the chances for that.

This game looks awesome, but I doubt itll look like that come release,,,
