Maybe that's because iphone/pad/mini/touch/ iteration x generally doesn't bring much in the way of innovation , especially when the competition has been there, done that, got the damned t-shirt all the while at a lower cost to the end user. Granted some people may be trolling, but some are trying to be open minded and realistic. Are we only allowed to praise Apple in here or you'll report us? There's two sides to every story. BTW this isn't directed entirely at you just the general internet populace.

There's a difference between "I think the product is not very innovative" and "Boo Apple is disgusting I can't tell the difference between an iPad and an iPhone!" or calling it the most senseless product in the history of electronics.

Some people (not on this thread) often question Apple fanatics' intelligence. I don't have mental problems for buying Apple products.

An iPad Mini is senseless, that is my honest opinion.

The ipod touch (even the newer 4" one) doesn't compare screen sizewise to the ipad. The "mini" seems like it could be a good compromise between the ipod touch and the ipad.

(The ipod touch looks bigger because it is still in the packaging. The iphone is right on the ipad.)

An excellent demonstration of why we aren't going to use web usage to settle this bet. Your first citation pegs Windows at 69% usage, your second at 92%. Neither tells us anything about units shipped.

Luckily, we have two products launching at nearly the same time, so hopefully a year from now both companies will be kind enough to share numbers with us.

smbu2000 already set you straight on the iPad numbers, but I'll note that we're just a few days from Apple's next quarterly report. It's quite possible that Apple has sold its 100 millionth iPad by now.

We shall see if it lives up to the hype. There was plenty of hype around the iphone 5 launch and i was a little disappointed, i'm not expecting too much now.
