Really?  Half of these series have been really solid.  Only a few has actually went down hill like Resident Evil, maybe Splinter cell, and Final Fantasy, but this is a very poor list.  

So you don't think Silent Hill,Command & Conquer or even Dead Space have went downhill ? Compare to each franchise they made over the past few years and tell me what you think

The newest Command & Conquer games has those free to play element and they throw away those single player element.

Silent hill is dead already since developer Team Silent has already left the franchise

Dead Space ? More like Lost Space mix with gears of war element.I feared it will suffered the same fate as Resident Evil 6

How is ff the most voted when silent hill has arguably fallen further than any franchise there?

FFXI is nothing at all like WoW, it's actually good and not ridiculously monotonous. Though I agree that the series as a has started to decline. Though as much as people hated FFXII I actually really liked the gameplay and the fact it's got like 70 hours of sidequests to do, so only FFXIII and all of it's sequels are really the only bad ones.

Ill agree with Silent Hill,  idk about command and conquer but most of the games on this list are above average games meaning theyre good.  They just arent as good as the best game in the series.  I

mario... imo the 2D ones are way worse than Super Mario Bros 1-3 and world. And Mario 64 is like my 5th favorite game ever, with nice music, but sunshine and the 3D ones after and after seem to have this steel drum tropical music fetish.

They're not even close to bad games. But imo the 2D ones pale in comparison to raymond in gameplay/artstyle/music, and I'm not a fan of galaxy, largely because I hate those spheroids. I did absolutely love 3D land though.

Future candidate: Dead Space

Now the most dissapointing series comes to Silent Hill 8 : Downpour.Needs i say more ? It just an improved version of Homecoming more likely a modification for me and you are restricted in handling 2 or more weapon.The atmosphere is somewhat resembled to Alan Wake and some escaping sequence where you have to escape some kind of vortex similer to Silent Hill : Shattered Memory but less frightening in a way.

I actually thought SH: downpour was a better attempt then homecoming.
It still doesn't hold a candle to SH2 but exploring the town was fun and some of the puzzles were well thought out. I loved recreating the play in the old school for example. Yes, it was not very scary and the 'horror' scenes were downright bad, as was the beginning of the game. I still enjoyed it overall. It was more of a 3D adventure game then a horror game.

It's hard to say which is the worst offender on that list, I have given up on most of them.
Dead space is the only one of which I haven't passed up on an instalment, but there are only 2 of them so far, and I'm very hesitant about 3.
Dragon age 2 was the biggest single shock for going downhill fast.
