It's a known fact that only drug addicts buy Sony products because you would have to be high to buy a Sony product. Now, drug addicts are not good with money and buy things they do not need like video games. This would make one think that they would buy more video games but their drug addiction comes first. They plan on wasting money on another game but get distracted by the need to buy drugs. Thus, PlayStation owners buy fewer games.

Conclusion: The biggest gaming market is the U.S, and American's only buy their own stuff.

You must have been thinking ofJapan.

X-Box owners just have a history of buying more games then Playstation owners its just a fact the original X-box has the highest software to hardware ratio of all time end of story.

The Xbox just has a more diverse line up of games year after year and xbox fans as a result buy more games. If the playstation 3 was as well endowed with a great lineup as the 360, I'm sure those few owners would buy more.

More diverse line-up?

You´re talking about the ps3 right??

I think I made it quite clear I was talking about the 360. 360 does indeed have the more varied library. It has solid competitive fps games(Halo), solid coop first person shooters such as L4D 1 and 2, solid puzzle first person shooters like portal 1 and 2, solid RPG first person shooters such as Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and NV, Bioshock 1, 2, and Infinite, solid fps stealth games like Dishonored and Deus Ex, solid competitive third person shooters such as GoW 1, 2, 3, and Judgement, and even tower defense shooters like Toy Soldier, and solid top down shooters like Geometry Wars. The Answer is obivous and the higher attachment rate signifies this.

Lol... ok I'll try...

To me 360 has more games worth buying while PS3 has more games worth renting...

Oh..... and does this mean the wii has the best software of all 3 then? And the PS2 has the second worst software line up of all time?

Don't be silly. The Wii/PS2 are not comparable to the HD systems. The PS2 was around in a completely different time and the Wiii caters to a completely different demographic. On the other hand, the PS3 and 360 are very similar, so these comparisons are valid. Comparisons between consoles other than the PS3 & 360 are cannot be made accurately due to a variety of unknown factors.

and seriously dude, you want a "basic level of maturity"?

i mean, that:

"Conclusion. PS3 owners are satisfied and do not need to keep buying new games to fulfill their craves. On the other hand, 360 owners feel a deep, extreme emptiness. It's almost like a moderate version depression. Their games can never truly make them happy - this perhaps explains why you're more likely to meet someone shouting obscenities at you on Xbox Live, than on PSN. So the next time there's a 12 year-old shouting at you on Halo, don't blame the kid. It's not his fault he's unhappy. Blame Xbox. The data above clearly proves that the Xbox 360 is not the more satisfying console."

would be a ban for some users here

Conclusion...

Did it ever occur to you that XBox had a one year headstart in NA and 15 months (2 holiday periods) in Europe? That is lots of games bought while zero PS3 games were bought. Your table simply shows that more XBoxes are out in the wild for a longer time than PS3s.

Tie ratio in Japan: I have seen several estimates on how many of the early PS3 were bought for Blu-Ray only and the estimates varied from 30% to 70%. Still PS3 "sells more" than XBox because absolute numbers count, not some irrelevant "tie number".

Also who cares about "tie rate?" Certainly not game manufacturers. If you believe the revenue numbers here, you'll see both consoles sell the same amount of sofware (actually PS3 is alittle ahead of XBox).

It's a flawless argument, you've already won.

Fun thread Jay.
