So essentially you are counting on Nintendo repeating the supply shortage at launch which is the biggest mistake they have made in the last decade.

you are not really a video game fan if you want to make other fans (even of the same console/maker) pay more for it by taking up their possible preorders and then selling it to them at higher prices - my opinion

just imagine only people who don't care to preorder (so not the biggest fans) and seem to have too much money to pay so much on ebay get his consoles! they won't stop to purchase other games then because they have enough money but man-bear could now invest the extra money in games which means the game industry will profit from that!
Given the Wii U's line-up..
Yeah, I don't see this working out the way you plan it to.
Pixel Art can be fun.
sorry you are a f***** bas**** hate you so much. :)
34 years playing games.

This got me thinking...why don't I do this too?! xD UK retailers are still taking pre-orders, so what's stopping me from buying a few now and selling them in December? Well...I had a lot of money saved up from the Summer, so I did just that! :D I've pre-ordered 5 Wii U's which I'll sell on eBay in December when there's fuck all supply! :D. I should make about £100 on each console...so £500 profit! Right in time to buy myself an iPad mini for Christmas (if they release one, which I think they will) :D Why don't more people do this?! It's easy money! :D |
2 things. One being the risk that its not sold out. Then you lose money. 2 being isnt a mini ipad an ipod :P
Why is there an apostrophe in the title? You ordered 5 WiiU's what? Controllers? AV cable? HDMI cable...what?
If they're actually allowing one person to pre-order five units, that tells me that they have ample supply and fully expect to have the markets covered. Likely, you'll end up with zero profits plus the cost of shipping the consoles to your buyers, or four units you'll never use. Allthough we heard reports that certain outlets were stopping pre-orders due to demand, the total amount of pre-orders globally appear quite low, another indication that shelves will be stocked for the entire season and then some.
The Wii U is not the Wii.

He has a week to send them back if he can't sell them for a decent profit.
That law is part of the reason electronics here are so expensive compared to the US.
