So I picked up Asura's Wrath off of Amazon a few weeks ago for $20. I have read the reviews that said it's basically and interactive comic and I said what the hell.

I loved this game a lot, though it took me about 3 hours to get completely sucked in. I decided to just enjoy the game for the story, so I played it on Easy (I don't think you can die/fail in this mode). OMG it was awesome. Each chapter is like an episode from an anime, including mid chapter breaks where a show would throw in commercials and a preview for the next chapter at the end. The game is full of quicktime events, button mashing periods and fighting/shooting. I don't generally enjoy QTEs or button mashing, but in the context of this game it was really fun (And at least in easy you get plenty of time to pull it off. Also if you miss the QTE you don't fail, the game continues)

The funny thing is I don't generally like anime, it gets to ridiculous for me. This game gets very ridiculous, though I really enjoyed it. Well it may have helped that the story wasn't too convoluted. I also liked how the game does a lot of things to mix up the action, like relaxing in a hotspring with girls serving you sake.

So after beating the game yesterday, I decided to buy the DLC for the final ending. I'll follow up on my thoughts about that.

What about you guys? Did you try it? Did you enjoy it? Or did not not buy it because of the internet rage about all of the side DLC for the game?

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

it is a good experience, but not a good game.

I loved Asuras Wrath, like in your case, it took me about three hours to get sucked in to the game aswell. It's a pretty looking game aswell. If there is one downside, excpet for the lenght, then it will be that the developers killed of some characters too fast.

This is a game that is on my list of games to play, but it is still priced too high for my liking.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Loved it. It was crazy as fuck. I was super hyped for it, and it didn't disappoint me one bit. I still need to go back and S rank everything sometime, and snag that awesome looking Asura vs. Ryu DLC.

They did cram a lot of big fights into a short time. I felt they could have even made this game into like 3 or 4 games/seasons. Almost like an Anime. But I enjoyed the way it was layed out. Almost no fluff.

I loved it as well, got it day 1...really enjoyed the soundtrack, wish it came with it.

I also bought it a few weeks ago for $20 on Amazon (We're geniuses). I haven't played it yet, but I'm expecting my mind to be blown.

lol. Yeah I do this with a lot of my games. Wait a few months and get them on the cheep. Though sometimes I give into the hype and pay full price, which I always know I shouldn't do with my huge backlog. Though I don't feel bad when I pay full price for a game from a small studio or Operation Rainfall type games.
