How many of you voting for Halo Wars have played a different RTS?

Pikmin.

Disclaimer: Pikmin is the only console RTS I have ever played.

For me...

Command & Conquer: Red Alert

But I did not play Halo Wars.

If you have a 360.. your should REALLY try it.

Yay!!!

Halo Wars or Civ Revolution, though both games are very watered down compared to PC strategy games.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

The only one I've played was Halo Wars but it was pretty good. I've always wanted to try a command and Conquer title, though.

Too bad EA bought Westwood...  You are a little late in trying that series.

Halo Wars

It's just that simple.

1) Anno: Create a New World (Wii) - Although more city builder than combat based, it's the best RTS I've played on a console.
2) Glory Days 2 (DS): Since RTS have to be heavily modified for consoles, this 2D action-strategy is enough real-time and a blast.
3) Pikmin NPC (Wii) - Nice console take on the RTS genre, the Wiimote controls worked like charm with the game.
4) Swords & Soldiers (WW): Played it on the PC but it's also on WiiWare, it's your typical 2D strategy game.

Honorable mention: Takt of Magic, shame it didn't make it to the west. There was no campaign to bring this one over...
Disliked: Battalion Wars 2, I just couldn't get into it, to much third person and I never felt in control of my squad.

Consoles' RTS are put to shame due to their controls, that's why consoles are better in TBS. Advancements in controls such as the Wiimote haven't done much in this genre... maybe the Gamepad? Nah.
