How about if they just released the trilogy on Wii U instead of only ME3? The hard part is pretty much already done.

I never said they shouldnt, i think they should, but as of now they are not. People should just deal with it, why should PS360 owners suffer because some are tight that the trilogy might not get released on WII U??

The 360 and PS3 versions should not be changed at all. It's the Wii U version that's the problem. It's messed up of EA to ask Wii U owners to pay $60 for one game while asking PS360 owners the same amount for at least three times the content -- especially if someone owns a PS3 and is interested in Wii U. It's not good for EA, for Nintendo, or for Wii U owners. It makes no sense for them to do that.

I had no intention of buying Mass Effect 3 for Wii U. A trilogy, though, is something I can possibly get behind. I don't understand why EA wants to offer me Mass Effect 3 for $60 two weeks after offering my 360-owning friends the whole series for the same price. That's not how you win over customers, EA. The least they could do is release ME3 as a budget title for Wii U. Make it $30 instead or something. Make it SEEM like an alright deal.

You do know these games DID retail for full price when they first came out, its not like they are favoring the PS360 in that regard, but i do see and agree they shouldnt be charging 60 dollars for a late port of the game, but the funny thing is i could make the same argument for the PS3 version of ME2 and i didnt see that much outrage for that either. Its more EA being EA than any evil plot against Ninty.

so they should delay or charge more to appease some fans who feel a little butthurt?? Yeah that would be the best thing to do for the company and the fans of ME

They should charge more (more money for them? why not?), delay is another option, that way they don't sent a product to the market to fail. Is simple marketing, you don't sell 2 similar products at the same time one very inferior to the other one for the SAME price, you are killing one of the them without reason, you either delay the best one or charge more for it (less for the inferior one is another possibility but that would mean less money for EA).

If they sell the trilogy for a hundred bucks no one would buy it. The fan base knows that it isnt worth that much. 60 bucks is perfect as far as I know the trilogy is coming after ME3WiiU and the PS3 version even later still how about we compare the collection on the PS360 to the actual ME games that were RELEASED on PS360

wow mass effect 3 on WiiU is sure to bomb even harder because of the ME Trilogy release plan... EA should cancel ME3 on WiiU and release that instead... it will make more sense.... this ME3 wiiu game will sell about the same as No More Heroes 2 or as good as heroes paridise at best.

The truth is stranger than fiction.
EA is just cementing the fact that they don't want anything to do with Nintendo. Even if it cost them petty pennies.

Nah, on 360 the trilogy comes out November 7. Wii U is released Nov 18 (in the states), and ME3 isn't even one of its launch day titles.

It's a different situation. There wasn't a ME1 + ME2 bundle for 360 released before ME2 for PS3, for the same price. If there was no ME Trilogy coming out, the perceived value of ME3WiiU could still be $60. But by releasing the trilogy before it, EA is saying before it even comes out, "This game alone is no longer worth $60."

EA can charge whatever they want for their games. But it's absurd to think that releasing the trilogy weeks before ME3SE won't cripple its potential sales.

Why would it cripple its sales? If you were going to buy ME3 for Wii U I would have to assume that you dont have a PC PS3 or 360 to play the game, so it doesnt matter if those systems got a trilogy or not as you would not have been purchasing it anyway and if you have those systems my question would be why have you not bought it for either of those three? Why choose to pay more money if you dont have too? Which brings me to my next point, the game alone is not worth 60 bucks trilogy or not, as you can get it for three other platforms for half the price. As i said before ME3 on Wii U simply doesnt make alot of sense. THe release is wrong and the pricing is wrong. Maybe they think lighting will strike twice and it will sell more than a mil like the PS3 version of 2 did, alot of people thought that would flop as well

Its identical to what Konami did with the MGS Trilogy and and MGS33D.

It's also pretty similar to what EA did with NBA JAM on the Wii.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I want to buy it but I'd prefer to buy it on wii u...ive been putting off getting ME2 for PS3 for like, two years now. I can wait another year or three to see if it ever makes it to Wii U.

But I seriously doubt it ever will. ME3 will sell for sh*t and EA will take this as an excuse to not port the trilogy or most of it's games to Wii U.

EA might go bankrupt before the 720 and PS4 even release, not a single fuck given.

It would cripple its sales because before people could argue if it was worth 60 dollars or not (all DLC included, additional functionallity with the gamepad), now EA itself is telling everyone that IT IS NOT! Besides some people will wait for a trilogy version for Wii U that may or may not come, instead of buying ME3U so that is also a lost sale. I was thinking about buying Wii U edition when it reached 40-50 dollars (hate buying DLC separate) now I will not do it at all, EA is telling me is not worth it and will most likely buy the PS3 trilogy instead, so you can count at least 1 lost sale.
