Maybe he's saying that he's happy the 3ds is selling well?

Do you mean games that just released today? (Girls Mode and pink 3ds LL, and kokuga?)

or for next week(10/4)? None. Resident Evil 6 is releasing so I don't think too many companies want to go up against it.

That's why I find it really strange that Konami put Winning Eleven on the same date. Different targets, sure, but RE is going to obliterate everything, imo.

Other than that, it'll be a huge ass week for PS3, with two heavy-hitters. Sony should had made a special version PS3 or something.

New releases {2012.10.04}

[PSP] Sol Trigger (Image Epoch) (¥6.279)
[PSP] Summon Night 3 (Bandai Namco Games) (¥3.990)
[PSP] Entaku no Seito: The Eternal Legend (Kadokawa Games) (¥6.090)
[PSP] Confidential Money: 300-Hi de 3000-Man Dol Kasegu Houhou # (Idea Factory) (¥6.090)
[PSP] Confidential Money: 300-Hi de 3000-Man Dol Kasegu Houhou [Limited Edition] (Idea Factory) (¥8.190)
[PSP] Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka Portable (Best Version) (GN Software) (¥3.129)
[PSP] Moe Moe: Modern Warfare+ (SystemSoft Selection) (SystemSoft Alpha) (¥3.129)

[PS3] Resident Evil 6 (Capcom) (¥7.990)
[PS3] World Soccer Winning Eleven 2013 (Konami) (¥7.980)
[PS3] F1 2012 (Codemasters) (¥7.770)

[360] Resident Evil 6 (Capcom) (¥7.990)
[360] F1 2012 (Codemasters) (¥7.770)

BTW, smbu... are you getting what 3DS games this year? I expect a mini-review of Bravely Default from you!

Wow..... Vita sounds kind of ironic now. Is getting hit from every single side.... Price cut incoming?

From the gaf thread, "May as well call the Vita, the Mortis and refer to it's Gaming Heaven as a Gaming Hell." lol

Sony fans on this site should be thankful that MS and Ninty fans are as bloodthirsty.  When 3DS was putting up pre-price cut numbers they couldn't shut up about it.  Now Vita is doing what it's doing and fortunately everyone is being mature about it and not rubbing it in - cause it is kind of a shame.  And all rage should be directed at Sony for just sitting and letting this happen.

Also, Vita really exposes how much Sony depends on 3rd parties because their first party can't carry anything.

Out of interest, which Sony fans were doing this?  Idk if you're allowed to name names like this on these forums, so dw if you're not.

I'm just genuinely interested.  I'm not saying that they didn't do it, because I'll believe you if you said they did, but most of the Sony fans I see around these parts lately seem less aggressive.

The ones of us that do come in here (particularly these sales threads) aren't usually looking for an argument and we generally aren't the people who were hounding the 3DS when it was selling less well than it is now, yet we're pretty much the only ones who are reading all these comments.

Idk, it just seems like one of those situations where the defence is "they did it to us first!", but that doesn't make either side right -  the Sony fans for being incessant twats in the first place, or the Nintendo fans for being incessant twats now.

It's your choice at the end of the day though, I know you wouldn't be alone if you brought it up every single week!

@Kresnik: Yes, the majority are less aggressive nowadays but I think they are humbled by how things turned out. TGS didn't have the impact many thought it would and depending on what happens during the holidays, it'll be a tough challenge for the Vita. I suspect threads will be bumped after the holiday season, so you'll see what all went down in 2011 when the 3DS was having a really tough time. Paul above did a namedrop and I remember that thread he referenced quite well for example.

They'll still miss it, price cut or not.

But there's miss by little, miss by much or miss by an embarrassing amount.

I don't think Sony wants the latter.

the later is likely to happen then they will revise down the forecast after Q3 so the former will happen.

I'm pretty sure that you can't bring up Vita without the someone tagging along failure, bomb, fail, flop, or no gamez. I really don't see any difference between how the two were treated.

If 3DS was labeled as failure, bomb, fail, flop or no gamez last year, I don't see why VITA is not one since it's selling less than half of what 3DS was selling.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

This year in Japan will have a high cost for Vita in the future, that's the bad truth. That's the whole point of all my Vita's posts. The hardware is great, and the games are great... but the lack of "punch" in the latter is something very worrisome.

3DS Holiday in the west, even containing gems like Paper Mario and Layton (with the help of Black White 2), is nothing to brag about, but mostly due to delays (Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, Castlevania would have helped a lot). But it's not like those games are cancelled or anything, they're just postponed to early 2013. Add Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter 3G (maybe even Pokémon MD), and the first quarter becomes a powerhouse. Still sucks, cause those games would have caused a much bigger impact on the holidays, but oh well. After that, there's lots of other games that can/will be translated.

Vita on the other hand will have a very solid western holiday release line-up. Really packed. But next year... the devil comes to take his payment. So far only Sly Cooper (not a big seller by any means and not an exclusive) has a release date, and not a single big japanese game is expected to be translated soon (q1 or even q2), cause... there are none - three of the four biggest vita games this year won't come west, for example (Hatsune Miku, Fate/Stay and AKB). Things like Ys, EDF or Muramasa won't do anything in the west . And relying on western third party devs to keep you afloat when you're a portable is something Vita don't want. At all. Especially with low sales.

That's my main gripe with Vita, since the beginning. They're doing a terrible job in japan, and not by being a dreamcast - which had huge games, lots of huge exclusives all its brief life, etc...

They are doing a terrible job in japan for the most logical reason... simply no "important" games this past year.

Haha.  Well, thank you for the link.  I can safely say I haven't seen 90% of those people around VGChartz at all / certainly not around recent sales threads.  Apart from Kowenicki of course, but I wouldn't exactly say he's a Sony enthusiast!

edit: S'interesting to read though, I wasn't really following games outside of World of Warcraft during 3DS' launch.
