Bleszinski has a very loose understanding of the term "concealed weapon"

Feels Nintendo have "lost a little of their core" but are dealing with it

The man behind the muscle-bound Gears of War series has stated that he'll be keeping a close eye on the Wii U.

Cliff Bleszinski - Design Director at Epic Games - was responding to open questions on Reddit and had this to say about Nintendo's new console:

Being raised on All Things Nintendo I will always I love all things Nintendo. I'll be watching the Wii U closely. I think Nintendo may have initially lost a little of their core with the Wii for a bit, honestly, and they seem to have realized this. I believe they also recognize that we live in a "multi-screen" culture hence the controller design. I played ZombiU at PAX and it was promising (even though the controls could use a little loving!) so we'll have to wait and see.

It's not the first time Cliff has expressed his love for Nintendo and it certainly won't be the last. It's also not the first time he's made public his positive opinion on the Wii U.

But will he finally put his money where his mouth is and make a game for a Nintendo platform this generation?

I think MS owns part of that IP, so no.

No its not possible for Gears to be on a nintendo console. However it is possible that Fortnite could be or Unreal Tournament. Ill buy those on PC but having EPIC's support could be nothing but good new for nintendo. They are one of todays best developers and I'd love to see fortnite and Unreal Tournament get more fans.

i also read something positive from him on twitter yesterday  (or was it his wife's twitter?) but i forgot what it was haha.

if nintendo would get epic games it would be great, even people who don't like epic games should be happy about it, they are a very important player in the industry.

If the U sells as well as I'm expecting it to (10-15m sold in its first year) and ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Assassin's Creed 3 and Aliens Colonial Marines sell as well as I'm expecting them to (1m+) then you'll see more than just Epic supporting the U with quality 'hardcore' titles.

And EA will be kicking themselves.

I believe that Epic has a "watch, but don't touch" policy concerning Nintendo systems.

I dont want him to watch the WiiU, I want him to develop for it.

Everything else is just blah.

He'll have plenty of time to watch it with all that time he saves by not developing anything for it.
