don't know why people even compare iphone with galaxy sales. it's not as if everyone who wants to buy a phone with android has to buy a galaxy (for many, the os is the most important factor to decide what they buy) so i think it's pretty obvious that iphone sells better. if samsung would have an own operating system as much beloved as ios or android the galaxy woud also sell more.
i'm not saying samsung could even reach that goal, i think it's pretty hard to make your operating system as popular as apple did with ios and that's what i think is so impressive. but IF you would have it and would be the only company, you would sell more of your models.

Samsung have their own closed OS... Bada... It will never sells like iOS.
The Galaxy S3 sells that much due Android... the Android is popular.
Wow, a pretty nice opening weekend. Definitely constrained by supply as opposed to demand. No places around me have any iPhone 5's in stock.
i pre-ordered mine from my carrier about 3hrs after pre-orders started on that first day(14th) and I'm still waiting. Hopefully not that much longer.

i know and what does this change in what i said? if samsung would have a popular os like android or ios and would be the only company the galaxy would sell better but bada isn't popular and android has a lot of other companies who make phones for so everyone who decides to buy a phone with android has the opportunity to decide between many models and everyone who want ios has to buy iphone.
like i said, i don't say it's easy to get such a popular os, that's what i think is so impressive, the popularity of ios. if other companies would make phones for ios i think iphone sales would be lower but ios would be even more popular.
i still think iphone would sell more
I wonder how many people regret it after taking a peek at the natural catastrophe that is Apple Maps

Apple maps isnt even that bad, and it'll be working perfectly in a few months (at the latest)
Besides, people can just get the google maps app which will be released soon if they're not content with Apple maps
Annnnnyway, I don't think I've ever met anyone who's regretted buying an Apple product

My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

I have to wonder if people that even make a big deal about Apple Maps even use Google Maps in the first place or have even used AppleMaps.
1) Apple Maps isn't actually that bad, it just doesn't give turn-by-turn walking directions and a few places are misnamed/slightly off.
2) There's an easy fix for something being slightly off or misnamed-- Google the place first. Even when I used the Google Maps app first I often had to do this anyways. It's not a big deal, search for the name of the place and then click the address in the results.
3) The 3D is little more than a gimmick. It's neat for sure, but it really doesn't matter that some things are skewed. Just as an FYI, a lot of the skewed 3D images are places you would never walk anyways (like highway mixmasters). Also note-- I did not say all.
4) Even before the whole Apple Maps thing, GoogleMaps wasn't the best GPS on the iPhone by far. If you're looking for turn-by-turn on the iPhone, Google Maps never did that.
The people making a big deal of Apple Maps read too much Gizmodo bitching.

Yeah 4 to 5 is a good jump and one I recommended to friends.
Why in the world would you buy a case that blocks your camera?

oops, guess I read those wrong. I was thinking it was more of a LTD total vs a one month sales total. ok, so iPhone is still the one single phone to beat.
