There are many, let's see...

- Most of the population are "Bedouin" living in tents.
- Camels are used instead of cars for transport.
- We're very rich and have oil wells in our back yards.
- Women wearing the "Abaya" (black dress) = They're oppressed!
- Women aren't allowed to go out without permission from the husband. (WOW! just wow! I laugh every time this is mentioned... LOL!)
- Drivers in our country are DANGEROUSLY HORRIBLE!!! (Unfortunately, one of the few TRUE stereotypes)
- Then of course there is the famous "We train our kids to commit suicide bombing", or in short... "TERRORISM"!

Some people believe that there are cangaroos in Austria... well, only at the zoo.
There is a popular movie " The Sound of Music", that we are often asked about. Most Austrians have never seen it.

On Dec 6th, we celebrate St. Nikolaus. It is a day where Children are getting some presents (chocolade, peanuts, etc) if they were nice during the year. Krampus is there to scare the kids who were naughty. And since its devilish appeareance kids are sometimes very afraid of him. Like in this video ^^:
