There is a popular movie " The Sound of Music", that we are often asked about. Most Austrians have never seen it.

On Dec 6th, we celebrate St. Nikolaus. It is a day where Children are getting some presents (chocolade, peanuts, etc) if they were nice during the year. Krampus is there to scare the kids who were naughty. And since its devilish appeareance kids are sometimes very afraid of him. Like in this video ^^:
