It's a brand new platform launching during the holidays, it should sell very well and very possibly more than the PS3 even with it's 2 month advantage.

Something tells me this will be a huge seller. FIFA boosts the PS3 each year, but what happens when a sexy-looking model releases along with it?

Do you think the PS3 can outsell the WiiU during launch week? Like the 3DS did to the Vita in Japan when it launched. Also why don't you count the 3DS? Home consoles can outsell handhelds, just ask the PSP and Vita.

No. And I didn't include because I think 3DS will stay ahead and that would make the title inaccurate, wouldn't it?

Why should it be closed? It's worth discussing. It makes sense not to include a handheld with consoles.

ha ha, I absolutely love your comments. I totally agree that Sony will get dominated this holiday season. Sony absolutely has lost the plot, I mean what in the hell is the point of releasing a redesigned PS3 only to have it exactly the same price as your last redesign? What that means it there is abosolutley no incentive to buy a slimmer than slim but no chaper PS3 other than the fact that its, err slimmer?

As for sales, with Nintendo's preorders alone for the Wii U, they will outsell the PS3 slim and PS3 slimmer than slim but no cheaper, ha ha. Next thing you know Sony will release a new Vita, and forget to drop the price,...wait, they already did!

As for Microsoft, all Halo fans already have 360s, so not much of a boost for this console, but game will sell a lot. But the 360 will beat out the slimmer than slim but no cheaper PS3, but both will ultimately come in behind the Wii U.

Oh, yeah? How many have pre-ordered? I think you're going to be in for a sore disappointment...Wii U only has a month to sell compared to the 3+ months for the others in this comparison.

Bet, between release and 1 January 2012, of both the Wii U and PS3 slimmer than slim but not any cheaper, Wii U will outsell the PS3 slimmer than slim but not any cheaper. You going to take that bet?

Obviously not because you wanted a PS3, and now because you can't accept the fact that the prices were at the levels they were due to retailers getting in to a price war you don't get to have a PS3.

I wanted a PS3 for a good price. 299,- is not a good price imo.

I can also accept the fact that Sony will be releasing a pointless redesign instead of lowering the price.

Now Sony will just have to accept I won't buy the PS3 this year.

You don't seem very well informed so you probably don't know the 3ds was cheaper than the 7 year old psp when the vita launched. Also the ps2 outsold every handheld nintendo has ever made so i think we all know how that works. He made a thread about home consoles. Fucking deal with it.
