12GB is for Europe only.. and they basically beefed up the hard drives without lowering the price.

There might be a price drop (clearance) on the old slims... I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Release date for NA? Been without a ps3 for about a month now, planning on getting a new one when I pick up RE6. Would be nice if this is out by then.
No price cut, I guess I'll just have to wait a little longer :(
