Regardless, that's a good price. To be big this holiday with this, they need to be cheaper than the WiiU, AND heavily advertise the console. It looks like they're going to do that, so good job.

Even if I'm not too hot about the design.

The PS3 is already cheaper than the Wii U. This will make it close to half price

There may have been rumors but there has been no official announcement about it.

Except, in this case it will be the other way round and also actually true!

...There are some PS3 games that need a 10GB+ install and all PS3s reserve around 10-20% of storage space for game caching. Not trying to spread FUD - It's defo at least 10% of any installed drive.

How on earth will this work!? When installs are often mandatory on a PS3. A hard drive really will be an essential purchase for anyone with more than 2-3 games.

Which PS3 games require a 10GB+ install? I only know of one, and it's an MMO.

It would be good to have a Blu-ray player for the bedroom TV. But it would be cheaper (even compared to 16GB version) to buy a stadn alone Blu-ray player.

I may be in the market for a new TV early next year, so if there was a slim PS3+TV package available around that time it would be pretty awesome.
