nope it's just that it seems I have hit a nerve with that comment. Look above and see another Nintendo fan agreeing with me. He understands the importance. The experience of a home console is much different to a handheld. I didn't have a great time with Burnout Legends because of excellent control options..but because I could crash cars on the go. So unless you can take the tablet controller on the bus...it's useless.

ugh ...now you are just making stuff up. Devs have not said anything about the tweaks or anything they will make for the game or gameplay. It's perfectly understandable to expect it tho because that's what any decent port does (case in point: SF vs Tekken Vita). But by all means...try and find anyone who talks about the control options as the reason why they are happy with the news...I bet you can't find a single person. The reason people are happy is cuz Criterion are great devs and the quality of the game will be guranteed in their hands. It will be an open world racing game on the go with great visuals. That's the hook of that

sigh not sure why I even had to tell you all this. No need to be so defensive (which you are being now..and you cared enough to comment about it :P) about this. It's a stupid move by Nintendo (IF confirmed, as mentioned above)...it serves no purpose at all to them or the customers. I really am trying to explain things with patience and even have a good discussion about these things here

Your argument backfired, that's the only thing I see.

And need for speed will be good either way. There won't be tweaks, and you know it. What's to tweak? Press this to accelerate and that to break, 99.98% of people happy.

ugh how was that ever part of my argument...

ever known a handheld with pressure sensitive trigger buttons to control speed etc? No

ever known home console racers that do it? Yeah....plenty.

All I see here is you grasping at straws to defend Ninty..for whatever reason, and failing.

And yes ports on handhelds always have adjustments made to make it more suitable for that experience. Usually this is done by simplifying things. That's how it has been...in almost all handheld racers. And again...lacking such a feature in a 'home' console really gimps the experience. The mere fact that you need to use a port on a handheld to defend this just shows the reality of it now doesn't it? Give it a rest already

Ugh... I don't see how it's a stupid decision.

It isn't. Very few games actually use this feature to great effect, and there are other perfectly acceptable contol options for racing games, especially for less dedicated players. It's just a strange decision, especially considering that the GameCube control had analog triggers, which proved useful for Super Mario Sunshine at the least. There may be an explaination, but what I wonder now is if there's definitive proof that the Pro controller triggers are digital. I've actually read conflicting reports about it, strangely.

When did I butt into your conversation? This is a free forum. There are no rules about not "butting" into conversations,  besides, I never did.

It's not laziness.

well I would argue agains the very few comment there but let's just agree to disagree on it.

But the important thing is you also understand why I am baffled by this. It's not something that's not gonna save them money or anything. I see no benefit to them. I wonder if it's something to do with the structure of the controller

I also agree about the pro controller..initial 'reports' said otherwise but later on I have seen several people contradicting it. I'm thinking it will definitely include them.

Well excuse me for trying to be on topic. Just to let you know, I was replying to all the people saying that it was a lost/stupid chance/idea to not have an Achievement System.

By the way, that bolded area could be taken as an insult.
