Forums - Gaming - Super Duper Unscientific Console Power Chart! (The Next Gen Transition)

You can only have two, so which will it be?

NextBox & PS4 32 17.02%

Wii U & NextBox 44 23.40%

PS4 & Wii U 98 52.13%

Screw U, I'm a PC! 14 7.45%

Still waiting for Apple make one 0 0%

Total:188

Now that we know pretty much all we need to know about the Wii U and it's first batch of games, what do you think MS and Sony will do?

Will NextBox and PS4 be double the power of the Wii U like the PS360 were to the Wii? I doubt it will be double, but most would agree they will be true next gen machines.

What games will they launch with? I'm hoping for Halo 2 Anniversary and Uncharted 4. Forza 5 will probably be there, but I'm skeptical of GT6 making the launch. Will The Last Guardian be a launch title or will we have to wait for PS5? ;) j/k

Will Smart Glass be integrated into the NextBox controller and will Sony add a tablet in the box? We can at leat assume that Kinect will be packed in, but who knows if Move will be a standard next gen. It would be smart to support easy full feature ports of 3rd party Wii U games at launch instead of asking devs to make different versions.

Will XBL continue to be a subscription service or will it take on a more PS+ model? Will Sony continue with free online gaming or take the opportunity to charge for it on the PS4? I doubt both, but it's possible.

This is my favorite time in gaming, The Next Gen Transition. It's so full of potential and I love speculating.

What do you think?

I searched and didn't find it. Are you sure this thread is the same? I didn't read any threads like this, that's why I posted it.

PS4 + Wii-U.

Same as gen 6, where I had PS2 + GC.

Same as gen 7, where I had PS3 + Wii.

I feel like Microsoft sometimes get closer to offering the kind of stuff I like, and then just move completely away from it. There was a point a few years ago when Banjo-Kazooie & Fable 2 both came out around the same time, and Viva Pinata & Crackdown were already out. I was pretty tempted. They haven't really followed it up with anything I've been interested in since, so my interest waned and I never bought the console. I'll probably buy a second-hand 360 in the next few years and just play those few games.

Anyway, yeah, it is an exciting time. Tbh, I'm not too hyped for the next gen yet because the release schedule until March next year is still really packed with titles I'm excited for.

You're in for a real treat when you finaly get to play all the spectacular Halo games.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm still very happy with what I have and what's still coming out. I'm sure when the games stop coming and the next consoles are on the horizon we will both be foaming at the mouth.
