While there has been no announcement for the game coming to the WiiU there is some evidence to think it might end up on the console.

Platnium games the company responsible for making the game are also working on two other games being the Wonderfull 101 and Bayonetta 2 both being WiiU exclusives. Maybe the Japanese Xbox360 version was cancelled to divert resources to developing the WiiU version of the game.

I think it depends more on Konami than on PG. Anyway I don't care about Rising :P

Seems like a possibility. Would do a heckuvalot better in Japan than a 360 version would anyway. I wonder if the HD fanboys would rage about that one too... they already raged a bit at the fact that Wii U is getting a superior version of Ninja Gaiden 3, and Bayonetta 2 for Wii U caused so many heads to explode that I hope we see more exclusive game announcements like that from Nintendo in the future.

Maybe KHIII... holy shit can you imagine the meltdown that would cause?!?

Depends on Sony because they own Kojima, so its not very likely.

I think Platinum Games and Nintendo make a great partnership so it would only make sense to port another game over. Especially, when Platinum Games now has the experience building games on the Wii U. Who knows, Nintendo might publish it so it will be on their system just like Ninja Gaiden III, with added content.

I wouldnt be surprised but Platinum is so busy right now so it could go either way...i also feel like it wouldve been announced already. Its still a ways away so anything could happen

Hmmm, I hadn't thought about that.  Kojima doesn't seem too keen on WiiU but as someone else pointed out, Platinum has experience on the console now.  It certainly would be nice if they did.

Until we get any real confirmation, at this point it's all just speculation.  But I definitely think it is a possibility.  WiiU may still not have many Japanese third parties on board... yet, but there is still time, and I'm willing to guess that the MH bundle + DQX beta will convince 3rd parties that there is indeed an audience for those games.

Plus, Kojima said his Fox engine would be multiplatform.  So, yeah, I think it's likely we'll see a MGS on WiiU in the future.

Really?  I thought Kojima said he was considering other platforms.
