Forums - Nintendo - Black OPs 2 on Wii U highly suggested to be 1080p @ 60FPS, best in class with better options too

If Wii U could run BF3 in 1080p with 60FPS I would be impressed but this is not really a "significant" leap. Especially since the engine is incredibly old.
If they weren't so lazy and build another one from the ground up, they could improve their results even on old hardware by a lot.

There will be an online multiplayer mode that lets players team up against AI enemies

This is good. More games should implement modes consisting of human players teaming up against the ai in a way other than infinite survival modes. I cant stand modes without an ending. Hopefully BO2 actually has some decent enemy ai. In past games, the ai was really crappy

I'm just wishing to be able to jump to a regular multiplayer match with a "local" buddy on my tv screen. And I am getting Wii U as soon as Battlefield 4 is released on it.

Read the original article @ VG247 http://www.vg247.com/2012/09/13/black-ops-2-confirmed-for-wii-u/

Things got lost in translation. Yes 60FPS online was mentioned but that is the same as PS360.
1080p? yeah, that wasn't mentioned.

Yep, you're absolutely right.  I skimmed the article before for a different quote, but missed that part altogether.  And slashgear referenced every part of their story from that original vg247 article.

So 1080p (native or otherwise) is not yet confirmed, sorry superchunk.

@ 0:35 - "all delivered in full HD" ... "60fps"

What a bunch of fluff...

“the most advanced textures, lighting and shadowing systems in series history". PC version begs to differ

I think that is referring to the overall game, not specifically Wii U only.

You might be right, but the way they word it is kind of ambiguous.

I agree with you. I read it as it says.

Black Ops II on Wii U will feature “the most advanced textures, lighting and shadowing systems in series history,”

Can't see what else it can mean apart from that. It would be the best bar none.

Not saying superchunk is wrong but it sounds like he is saying it is even better than the PC version... We will see.

To be honest I believe PC gaming graphics are overated anyway, but let's not get into that.

"The title features the most advanced textures, lighting and shadowing systems in series history, all of which are on full display on Wii U."

In other words, "We made the best looking Call of Duty game yet, and you can play it on Wii U."

It will not look better than the PC version at max. I will personally guarantee you that.

Ok, will you accept that maybe it would look as good as the PC version on max?

Or is that still pushing it too far?

That's what I'm thinking is happening.

Yep, that's what I gathered.
