8 GB and 32 GB seems horribly low. That is way worse than the PS3 launch. Definitely will be waiting at least three years to consider better models.

Given you can upgrade that space with a number of means easily. I find it better than the other two.

Well that is the thing, it isn't set price, it depends on your on ability to shop with SD cards, and Harddrives. (If I remember correctly). Given I need someone who is paying more attention than I at video games these days, to confirm how compatable it is.

Prices are reasonable, now we wait to see if Sony/MS reduce theirs in response.

Regardless, Nintendo needs to build some major hype between now and launch.

You can use any standard USB external hdd with it. You can use use any standard SD card with to increase storage. How much you want to spend depends on you. SD cards are cheap or you can have more space with an external hdd. Nothing proprietary!

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

i think the idea of not forcing you to pay for a big HDD is great
believe it or not theres people that dont need that much space....:P

Now I need to find a pre-order spot for the premium spot. $50 for 32GB of memory and Nintendoland... sold. Shut up and take my money.

Price point is decent, but not so competitive it drives Microsoft and Sony to do anything.  It is also a price point that says it is the superior system.  Question is whether or not consumers will feel a pull to get one over the holidays.  The economy is in different situation from when the current generation hit.
