Not surprised but Konami make some very odd decisions sometimes.

Yeah, like the time they decided to make a spin-off with Raiden as the main and called it "Revengence" what the hell is that about?

That was the good not bad idea!

I was agreeing with the "very odd" part, at no time did I say "good" or "bad"

Ahh my bad.

Noooooooooooo!!!!

Nah, seriously, it was gonna sell like 5k copies anyway.

They didn't want to spend the money to convert the language on the XBox 360 version just to sell about 15K-20K copies of the  game.  It still baffles me why companies like EA release games like Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age in Japan. They don't want to play those games. I was surprised Uncharted 2 and 3 were released in Japan as well.

It wouldn't sell well in Japan on the 360. It may have boosted the weekly sales to about 800 for the week it released.

Probably because it would of been weird for them to not release a game under Sony management/studios in Japan where Sony originated. Besides Uncharted by itself sold more than the PS3 AND xbox360 versions of Mass Effect series (if VGChartz numbers are correct that is):

1 Mass Effect 2 X360 2010 Role-Playing Electronic Arts 1.88 0.73 0.03 0.27 2.90
2 Mass Effect X360 2007 Role-Playing Microsoft Game Studios 1.67 0.70 0.03 0.25 2.66
3 Mass Effect 3 X360 2012 Role-Playing Electronic Arts 1.52 0.66 0.02 0.23 2.43
4 Mass Effect 2 PS3 2011 Role-Playing Electronic Arts 0.68 0.31 0.03 0.16 1.18
5 Mass Effect 3 PS3 2012 Role-Playing Electronic Arts 0.42 0.33 0.02 0.14 0.91

Besides the Uncharted series seem to have a rise in sales in each installation l0l

1 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves PS3 2009 Action Sony Computer Entertainment 2.72 1.89 0.21 0.88 5.70
2 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PS3 2011 Action Sony Computer Entertainment 1.68 1.90 0.19 0.77 4.55
3 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune PS3 2007 Action Sony Computer Entertainment 1.90 1.55 0.12 0.69 4.26

^ Third set of numbers are Japanese numbers.

Did they ever state what the production cost of each uncharted game was?

360, cetainly doesn't do well at all in the gaming homeland.

The gaming homeland is the west. It does quite well there.

Based on sales of other games, I imagine this would do about 20k on the 360 in Japan. I imagine this is more about loyalty for the Japanese PS3 audience.

360 owners over there are probably used to getting the shaft. But the hardware still gets pretty good support in Japan despite a small userbase.
