Is Skyrim #1?

Probably will be xD

Oh, good. If that's the case then this list is fantastic, because skyrim is the greatest game of all time.

Even with the Halo pic in your avatar?

Why is FF6 better than 7?

Better Story, Better Characters, More expressive characters, more emotion, better art, better atmosphere, better music, better villain, better overworld, bigger overworld, more personality, better pacing, less linear. Also, its much more a traditional fantasy universe (with steampunk/magipunk elements), where FF7 is the first game to jump into a quasi modern "we have guns, but everybody still fights with swords anyway" universe.

FF7 had pretty FMVs, and it had great moments as well. I'm not knocking the masterpiece that is FF7. But FF6 is a better game all around.

Is it a question of taste? Of course. YMMV. I just think FF6 had a lot more going for it.

"we have guns, but everybody still fights with swords anyway"

ff 6 is steampunk and they dont have the tecnology to make guns? i didnt finish ff6 but from what i remenber there is guns there too i think ...

Nope, everything is powered by magic.  The closest we come to guns is magical walking tanks and Edwards Autocrossbow.  And FF6 isn't steampunk, it just has steampunk elements.

Edit:  At least, that's how I remember it.  Its been many years since I fired up this game.

It's depressing to see ff IX and Persona 4 in a low position.

I'm going to be furious if:

- they snub Skies of Arcadia Legends, which is my favourite game of all time
- Mass Effect 3 ranks higher than either of its significantly better predecessors

You can see Narshe rebels using guns against Magiteks in a FMV from the ps1 version.

Skyrim and ME2 (lol) will be top 5, calling it.

pwin´ every other villain since 1994

Hang on now.  Mass Effect 3 probably contains the pinnacle of story telling in modern western RPGs.  There were moments where I felt real and powerful emotion in this game.  The entire campaign at Tuchunka was incredible, and probably the best story telling in a video game period.

Its a shame the game had to ruin all that in its last 15 minutes.  ME3 is a great game 99.5% of the time.  Its the last 0.5% that sucks.

Revisionist history.  Blasphemy.  Wasn't this after Nomura took over the FF series anyway?

They better include Valkyrie Profile 1 & 2 in that list.

I think I missed something because I'm not sure what you're talking about.

You haven't seen the best movie of the year yet?

I can't remember The Hunger Games all that well, sorry!

OOOHHH BURN, Darth. Lulz

I just stopped crying now.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

By the way, why are so many of you convinced that Skyrim will be #1? How is it not painfully obvious that FF VII will top this list? And I'm pretty sure that Fallout 3 will rank higher than Skyrim.
