Over a decade or longer ago, I heard of Darpo (or whatever it was called back then) inventing working stuff from airplanes that were also submarines to exoskeletons and other shit I can't even remember.

I have heard of none of these inventions since.

Either they failed to prove useful or they worked remarkably well and is now part of the US top secret weaponry.

I am most likely to believe it is the former.

Not actually that impressed. I saw their previous video of Big Dog and figured if they'd modelled it on a cheetah they could make it go a lot faster than just 28mph.
