Forums - Sales - Is PS Vita SAVED In Japan?!!!

News has been leaking accross the internet that PS Vita has put out some great numbers in Japan this week!

What was earlier believed to be a rumour has turned into reality!

Project Diva : Hatsune Miku has pushed PS Vita up to the 50K mark in Japan!

The game itself sold decently compared to past titles

[PSP] Project Diva - 101,486
[PSP] Project Diva 2nd - 242,717
[PSP] Project Diva Extend - 189,196
[PSV] Project Diva f - 158,009
[3DS] Project Mirai - 88,737

Of course it probably sold quite a bit online too.

Now later this month PS Vita will get two more titles DJ Max and Ys.

While Project Diva appealed to girls DJ Max will appeal to boys wanting to be DJ's & Ys will appeal to JRPG fans who buy systems readily to get an update to their fav series!

Vita could see 3 different types of users entering its userbase this month.

What do you think, is PS Vita SAVED in Japan?

Is PS Vita finally...

 (Catching Fire)

**I expect PS Vita to not go under 10K henceforth!**

LOL, no.

(Bad darth! I thought maybe Capcom had teased Monster Hunter Vita or something.)

hope it means firmware updates...

Who thought it was a good idea to use the back touchpad to scroll up and down when I need to be able to scroll left and right too?

I don't care what game does it, but, I want there to be games to push this thing... Seems like I'm the only one that enjoys using it.

I think you're going to be disappointed ...

In Japan it isn't unusual to see temporary spikes in system sales only to watch the system to rapidly fall back to its original sales level. Unless these games have some sort of unusual appeal (like Nintendogs/Brain Training) I wouldn't expect much of a lasting impact.

Of course not, but it can be used as a good starting point for Sony. How? Well, have big games, first. Second, release them often. Third, create bundles, new hardware, whatever.

Games that sell 200k are desirable, but they're not considered huge, especially in Miku's case, which does not have the greatest legs in the world (not HER legs, pervert!). For example, Harvest Moon sold 230k just now, but it's nothing more than a grain of salt in the ocean.

It needs consistency. But I'll say this: it's an big injection of positiveness, no doubt! Especially with the hardware!

The miku games like tales games have a really big drop after wards, so it will p4G again.
