Can that stuff be bought as DLC or would I actually have to buy that version of the game?

gfwl almost looks like a shortened version of "godawful"

There is nothing that annoys me more than downloading a Steam game and realizing I need to open it with windows live.

Ignoring the god-awful GFWL, is the PC version worth getting? I've heard and seen some stuff regarding the graphics but that's something I can live with as long as the framerate is good. I don't have a 360 or a PS3 and won't get one anytime soon so the PC version is the only version I could get. I'd really want to try it since I've heard so much good about it (and I really want to see if it is as brutal as people say it is) but if the PC version is a broken mess I won't bother. It's quite cheap to get too, and comes with a bunch of free stuff (boxed version) and I happen to love useless free stuff that will collect dust in my closet.

The PC version thus far works great.

It's capped at 30 FPS, but it runs a lot better and looks better than the console versions.

However, what kind of PC do you have? I can't say it will work for you because I have a gaming PC, and don't want to give you false hope or mislead you.

Game runs fine for me, and the game seems promising so far. Not as hard as I expected (from all the talk I expected to be brutalised by the game as I'm not excatly the best gamer arround) so far TBH but I am still only a few hours in so I am expecting the dificulty to ramp up as I get deeper into the game. Not to say I haven't died a bunch, but I died a lot playing The Witcher 2 on hard as well.

just out of interest do you play this game with mouse and key board or with a controller,infact do people play all games on PC with m & k or are there some games people like to play with a controller plugged in,just curious

Damn, this PC release triggered me to relaunch Dark Souls on my PS3.

But i am having problems with remembering where I was (other than in NG+ and Anor Londo) especially as I want to get the Platinum trophy.

This game is just so good. And it looks freaking good on consoles too, but I envy the PC guys who get 1080p, AA & AF.

Someone want to join online and gank people together?

Btw, what level is best suitable for online on consoles? (since it's been out for +6 months, on PC right now you will find more varied levels obviously). And what level is suitable for NG+ and NG++? I am SL 89.

I've heard this game, like sleeping dogs k/mouse controls are aweful. However I haven't tried it. 
I generally play games from console with a controller if it isn't an FPS (Assasins Creed, Tomb Raider, Batman). but I know a lot of PC gamers who have a different opinion.

I play it with 360 pad or my dualshock, depending on what I have in the room
