However, we also know for a high level of probability that the next Zelda to be made on the WiiU will use motion controls.

Actually, Miyamoto has acknowledged that the motion controls in Skyward Sword may have alienated some players:

"With the last game, Skyward Sword, that was a game where you had motion control to use your weapons and a lot of different items," explained the creator of the series. "And I thought that was a lot of fun, but there were some people who weren’t able to do that or didn’t like it as much and stopped playing partway through it. So we’re in the phase where we’re looking back at what’s worked very well and what has been missing and how can we evolve it further."

Personally, I'm hoping for a more traditional control setup for Zelda HD.

Do I think they SHOULD? Probably not. But they came up with some interesting ideas for last year's E3 and then let Ubisoft use those ideas in their own game. To me, that means Wii U Sports is not in production.

Also, I object to the poll's implication that Wii Sports Resort is not a quality game.

As compared to other games it's a low production value game with high yield. To be honest I don't care if that offends you this is a sales and market discussion forum, not a fan forum.

Simply said, the Wii Sports series can be of higher production value, and the poll was asking if you believed the next entry on WiiU would be of higher production value than the better of the last two, Wii Sports Resort.

@Archbrix. I never read that, that's great news. I personally hope they just give us the choice and improve on motion controls if they have a good proof of concept. But until that's done, I think they should stay as far away from motion controls as possible. Gone is the time where putting experimental technologies in games is acceptable from a business point of view. Get it working first, then put it in a package

Not releasing such a killer app would be as stupid as ceasing to make real Mario games for 20 years.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Wii Sports Resort was of high quality - so polished

For a series that sold 100 million in 2 entries, I'm not sure the production value currently reflects that fact.

Does Nintendo like making money and selling consoles?

I think so, after all, NintendoLand is sorta Wii Play U, so a Wii U Sports would complete the set (Wii Fit U confirmed already).

Not for a year or so, though, because it may confuse consumers otherwise...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I see it coming summer 2015. It's to soon yet.

It depends what you mean by polish. Sports Champions on the PS3 is a lot more polished in many ways yet that game gives off a cold, sterile feeling which isn't helped by its stereotyped character roster.

They would need to keep the cheery feel of the previous two games intact in order to replicate the success.
