I dont agree... with all do respect, breaking a wooman's heart can lead to depression and other pshycological interferance but its not as bad as murder. By this, degree of consquence to a degree of punishment ratio, your saying that a murderer should be tortured, fed to dogs and burnt their poop. :-/

If you say that its against the bible, IE 10 commandments, then let God deal with the cheater. (im still saying that a murderer should be imprisoned though)

I think this is a dumb topic, cheating is not only something boys do there are also many girls who cheat.

By looking to the OP's point of view a bit more. I think that the OP wants a punishment to those who cheat AND cause much heart-ache to their partners. Not those who delibirately cheat and be honest about it with their partners which does NOT cause any heart-ache. 

I would say that holds true for a certain kind of man.

The kind who is fully devoted to his career and doesn't much care about his children, who is happy to sleep around before marriage, who only has stereotypically male interests, like cars, guns and sports, who only enjoys "masculine" TV shows. A man who is heterosexual and acts masculine at all times.

I would argue that most men aren't actually like that anymore, and that the expectations of society ought to change, but will do so slowly. Sexism hurts both genders. Women aren't really well served by an ideology that states that they are so inferior that they need preferential treatment from jobs and universities, that they are unable to consent to being half naked on magazine covers or in pornography, and that they are completely unable to take a joke or hear the word "bitch".

Which is child's play compared to what has been done in the name of holy scripture over the centuries, frankly.

No point pursuing this one though, it'll just end in mod intervention without either of us changing our minds.

And for the record, I never said this applies to all followers of Islam/Christianity/etc, so I'm not attacking anyone based on their religion, just the content of said books.
