Of course they won in the US. It was a freaking California court. Besides Apple being based here in California, it's CALIFORNIA. I mean, seriously. Courts here are all kinds of stupid.

The IP at stake in this case has nothing to do with the IP at stake in any of the other Apple/Samsung legal battles taking place around the world, so there's really no reason to compare this case to the jury's findings in America last week or stamp the regional bias label on any of these outcomes.
