I don't think it will flop. The thing that I think will help it raise sales is the whole idea that sony introduced where if you buy the ps3 version you will get the vita one for free. I'm not sure if they are going to bundle it.

But with 20 million you would have to sell 2.5 to make profit but my point about donkey kong country making more money and mario games by far is 100% fact. Everything else is beside one part is fact. Doing the math Nintendo games that sell 2.0-3.0 make alot of more money than Uncharted. You can't argue this. Plus most outsell Ps3 games so yes Nintendo is making tenfold while sony is making probably quater of what nintendo makes from it's big games. I will repeat One mistake was thinking uncharted cost as much as Max pain but my overall point is the same and untouched. The overall fact is Nintendo games make more money than Sony games. Anyone care to disagree? Of course not because the point stands strong. .8-1.0 forward for AAA wii is profit 2.5-2.7 forward for a Uncharted 3 is profit Do the math my point stands. God Of War III Cost Was $44 Million
So, I wasn't off on everything just Uncharted. I will admit I made mistake there ;).

What does Nintendo making making money on their first party titles have to do with PS All-Stars?
Also, as you've kind of killed your own credibility, you're going to need sources if you want people to take whay you say as fact. Link us development costs for the biggest Nintendo games. How much did Galaxy 2 cost to make, for example?
And where are you getting your profibility ratio from? Why does a game that cost 20 million to produce have to gross 100+ million to see a profit? And I hope you aren't basing first party games on the firgures for third party games released through a separate publisher?

no the point you wanted to make was I was wrong about sony profiting with Uncharted. You pulled out a random number out of your ass to do so. It's quite evident that they made a lot of money with uncharted. Heck even with the MP alone I'm sure they are making a good killing right now.
As for God of war 3...it's THE biggest selling hack and slash game of all time! lol with close to 5mil sales (it will pass that LTD for sure)..with multiple released of HD collections and trilogy collections...you honestly believe that they are not making a great profit from the series?
seriously, I don't care about nintendo or their franchises...this thread is NOT about them at all. You and your random made up facts doesn't change the reality. The franchises have been very successful to sony...it would extremely stupid to argue otherwise.

Time will tell whether it will flop or not. I am not a Fighting game enthusiast. I did not like Smash Bros on Wii. Only enjoyed games like KoF series and WWE. With supers in the PSASBR, I think I may like this game.
This holiday (ended few days ago), I missed some party games when my nephews and nieces came to my home. We played Super Mario Bros., Fifa and Rayman Origins. But I think a good fighting game would make it better. Previously we used to play WWE on PS2 during holidays.

I don't think it'll be a flop. Look at the preorder numbers of New Super Mario Bros 2. 70,000 for a Mario game.
The game itself looks to have a much lower budget than most Sony first party titles, so it'd have to pull some low numbers to be a flop. Something I doubt is going to happen. Once the beta becomes available on PSN and they start advertising more when the release date draws nears, numbers should jump up.
I'm pulling a Portal 2 with the game though. I have it preordered at Newegg for $15 off and I'm selling the voucher for the digital Vita copy to a friend for $22. It's a win win win. Sony gets a $60 MSRP sale they wouldn't have because I don't purchase games for $60 anymore. I get the game for $23, and my friend gets it for $22.
I waited until I saw this on the PSABR website before preordering because wasn't sure if it would be buy digitally on PSN and get Vita version or buy on disc and get Vita version.

Forecasting a game's success over preorders is preposterous. We may better gauge its ltd performance after the holidays. Preorders doesn't always quite paint a clear picture.

"wtf...
A game that cost 20m to make would only need to sell a bit less than 1 million to make a profit (based on $30 per sale to Sony). This being a first party game though, I'm sure Sony get a larger cut. Then we have advertising, and I don't think they advertised Uncharted 1 all that much...So Uncharted easily made a profit, and a big one at that.
You keep saying you are using "facts" but you don't back any of them up with a source or explanation."

Developers/ studios only make about 12 maybe 13.
Trololo where did you get 30 dollars from?
I based the 2.5 because of 3 things.
1. It was marketed very good and I mean it was all over the place not as good as COD but very close. COD spends millions on marketing and not low numbers millions we are talking tens- hundred million. Uncharted was marketed very good so we have to add a few millions at the lowest. 20 million budget doesn't include marketing I found this out when reading about Max Payne failure lost.
2. Servers look at COD cost for servers. Why do you think many ninetendo games don't have online servers because it cost lot's of money. Servers are not put into the budget because there is no way to determine it in the long run. I suggest you read up on some articles on server cost and why companies SHOULD make people pay to be on servers. You will be shocked the cost and how it's hurting the industry.
3.Lastly if you want just get similar Profit numbers as wii numbers in comparision of sells.
Developer Ninja Theory recently revealed its 2007 PS3 exclusive Heavenly Sword barely broke even despite its relatively impressive 1.5 million-copy debut. I believe it's budget was 15 million oppose to 20 million and was barely marketed in comparision.
