I still wish more games would do that water busting trick that they've got going on here. Hell not even Metal Gear Solid 4 does this.
Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but for those who have Sleeping Dogs, how does it compare to GTAIV? I really like the setting and stuff. And those screenshots look badass. I'm kind of thinking of getting it if it goes on sale on steam in the near future.

Back on topic, I agree that Red Dead Redemption had some pretty cool raining effects. I must finish this fine game someday.

Donkey Kong Country and Metroid Prime did have an amazing use of rain. DK especially. Combined with the music of the stage it instilled a sense of urgency and danger the likes of which few games if any has managed to do since.
Games are fun.

Well I'm convinced! Although I've actually heard that combat in the game was not impressive... What you described sounds awesome. Too bad I can't afford a full-price game right now... :(

Pretty good list. One game that I actually played a decent amount and thought it has pretty good rain effects is PGR4.
