I witnessed that scene 10 years ago... The guy you laughed so hard at was so devastated he commited suicide soon after that.

He would be 14 now :(

Wait what, someone killed themselves over a prediction/sales (or something, didnt bother reading that paragraph ;p).

Just making a joke about the fact that he probably went on an heated argument in a store with a 5 year old.

Keep hatin on vita when black ops declassified drops and more cross play games come out the vita will sell. Funny how you mention the dreamcast. I remember the guy at "electronic boutique" back in the day telling me it was going to kill PS2. I laughed so hard in that guys face saying bro you serious. He was like oh ya its gonna kill ps2 you'll see. We all know the rest lol. What people dont realize is sony is an institution in gaming its worldwide. We will see what happens when christmas rolls around and then talk Vita sales. You mean to tell me when a COD game drops on a handheld like Vita no one will buy it? Theres alot of people who sit at there jobs and kids who play online on the road etc. To play a real Killzone game (not psp version) and a COD game has never been done before on a handheld. Let declassified drop and then we will see how sales are then.

I always thought MHP4 would come to the Vita after they announced MH4 for 3DS. But with such a small userbase, I wonder if Capcom will even bother anymore.

Not to mention spreading the base over both consoles.  Would be best to just keep it on 3DS now that they moved the base over with MH3G.  But you never know...

The same could've been said about Resident Evil 4 though, and this is Capcom too.

In RE4's situation, it made sense because Capcom was going from a small userbase to the behemoth that was the PS2.  It just made economic sense.

From 3DS to Vita is going in the opposite direction.  I think there'll be some kind of spinoff (there was one announced/released already, IIRC) or rerelease (MHP3rd HD).  But hey, stranger things have happened.  I'm not saying it's impossible, just unlikely.

I'm not talking about the PS2 port, since MH4 hasn't even released you can't compare to that yet anyways.

I was saying that for MH to go to Vita would be like how RE4 went to cube after the series thrived on the PS.

Capcom produced Resident Evil games on the Gamecube (and turned a healthy profit doing so) in exchange for rights to develop and publish The Legend of Zelda games for the Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance. Ultimately, it was a huge win for both parties being that Capcom made a ton of money off of the Gameboy games and Nintendo got some huge exclusives for the Gamecube.

Sony's most likely strategy to get similar exclusive titles would be to pay for them. Being that they don't have much money to spare I don't think that is likely to happen.

Edit: On second thought, nvm.

As Capcom wouldn't ever "waste" a main MH title on PSV until the user base is large enough, Sony could start paying part of the costs of porting to PSV the best existing MH titles, it wouldn't make miracles, but while not boosting sales, it could help supporting them and also start creating a MH fan base on PSV.

Sega never made a successful console Sony just need some popular games to start outselling Dreamcast.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

The Genesis?

Sony will be fine. Vita not so much.

I didn't know but Dreamcast and Saturn and Master System are all flops.

Vita will have more releases until the end of the year in the west than 3DS, it is far from dying.

Really? Source please.

(I don't say it's wrong, but this claim is too big to go without a good source.)
