Sweet spot for wifi PS Vita - $250 in Australia (currently $350), which would mean a price of less than $199 for the US.

They also need to lower the price of memory cards, or chinese manufacturers need to create some type of dual micro sd adapter like with the PSP.

I think the general public would be very interested if it were under 100 dollars. But realistically, I think $180 would be an attractive price

MY personal sweet spot for portables, as I'm not a big fan, is 99, but I think the first sweet spot to start selling well to portable fans should be 199. And 8GB storage should become minimum standard equipment.

I voted $159 since it was the lowest price point. Honestly, I think Sony would pretty much have to give the thing away It seems the general perception of handhelds isn't that great and the few that do like them tend to lean towards Nintendo handhelds.

Isn't the Vita $249 for the Wi-fi version and $299 for the 3G version? And 3DS XL around $199.

$300 - Vita + 32GB
$275 - Vita + 16B
$250 - Vita + 8GB
$225 - Vita + 4GB

The Vita itself isn't that expensive. It's the Vita plus sufficient memory. Right now it's $350 for a 32GB Vita. Feel like that's a lot of money.

EDIT: Actually, you can get a 32GB memcard for the vita for about 81$ right now on amazon and at walmart. So $331 for a 32GB Vita. A little better but still not quite there.

It's not about price. It's about content.

On my iPod I got tons of free games and I discover new ones all the time.

$180 iPod with hundreds of free games(thousands?) or $250 Vita with $30-$50 games.........the choice is obvious.

Vita needs to appeal to the casual gamer in a way that Nintendo never will, free to play.
